The positive thing is that it took Michael Jackson's Thriller over a year before it became popular. In that year, Michael took every opportunity to promote and perform the songs on that album. I agree that Chloe needs to tone down the "sexiness" stuff. It detracts from her voice. As for Beyonce, she only promotes her own music. This is why up and coming artists don't need to sign long-term record deals. They end up in bad contracts and can't get out of them. Their career dies when no new music gets put out because music is shelved. At the mercy of label to let them out of contract in most instances. They need to sign 1 record deal and then re-negotiate if album is a success. Many artists get screwed and don't get paid rushing into these deals. It's been happening forever. JoJo, New Edition, TLC and Kelis had contracts where they basically were working for free and not getting paid after label deducts all their expenses.

There would be no point to Beyonce sabotaging her own artist, that would be like hurting herself. She has invested a lot of money and resources into Chloe. I just believe that she knows how to do one thing only, and that is be Beyonce; sing really well, put on a show, and be beautiful. That doesn't necessarily translate to being a great manager. I liked her with her sister. She seemed more genuine. I feel like people wanting to support and people liking an artist plays a role in people listening to your music.
