Man… I needed this tutorial like 15 years ago. This is exactly why when I get my hair done each month it always looks one million times better when she curls it for me vs when I do it. I’m definitely guilty of the Shirley temple curls… gonna try to up my game!

The most detailed and helpful hair curling tutorial for beginners like me. I've always struggled with my curls not turning out the way I want and not know why. Thank you !!!

AHH This is so helpful!! This is exactly what I needed! I kept doing the "no no" ones and that's why I never liked my hair curled lol. Will be practicing this tomorrow!! THANK YOU! New subscriber!!

Thank you, this is so helpful for people who are not that great at fixing hair. You did a great job slowly explaining what to do and showing what not to do.

soooo what I've learned is that I'm doing the no no curls and that's why my hair looks terrible when I try to curl it! The other techniques seem so intimidating to me! What prep products do you use and do you use texture spray before or after you curl? Do you use hairspray?

Can I tell you how very happy I found you ???🥰. My hair was just past my shoulders and I got it cut a few weeks ago almost identical to yours and absolutely love it but wasn’t sure what to do with it until I found you lol. I’ve been bingeing all of your videos like mad and have been able to wear my hair so many different super cute and fun ways! Early this morning (before watching this) I went to the Croc Canadian site and ordered a 1.5” flat iron. The entire site was 40% off! Anyhow I didn’t get the infrared because the one I wanted was sold out so I just went with the black titanium which will be I’m sure fabulous. I have super thick, course hair and a ton of it and was in dire need of a flat iron upgrade😬. Thanks again for all of the wonderful tutorials! I’m about to go back to school (kindergarten teacher) with new hair and new tools to keep it fresh and fun! Have a beautiful weekend 💕 Xo Tammy 🇨🇦

This is so helpful!! I’m still figuring out how to do waves in my bob because it seems like every time I cut it, I ask for it shorter and shorter 😂 I think I might need to go down to a 3/4” because I’ve been doing it sort of with a “no” motion and with a 1” and my hair is just to my jaw so it’s flat til ear level then poofs out. It’s a nightmare!

Hey, love your videos! Question... I'm premature gray, my hair won't hold curl anymore since it's all gray, so I went to a bob cut. I can't get any root volume, I ordered the ADH dry, but haven't received it yet. My hair is flat and looks like I just rolled out of bed all the time, so is really unprofessional looking. If I could get some root volume I think it would make a big difference. Words of wisdom, lol?
@kimberlypruszynski11222 жыл бұрын
she has a video on volume! she basically teases one smallish section at a time and then flat irons just the teased part to set it before moving on the the next piece

Do you use a straightener before you curl your hair? I always thought straightening would make it hard to curl, but your hair looks like you straightened it first. What products do you use before blow drying?
@Indy_Girl3 жыл бұрын
Wondering the same thing.
@ChloeBrown3 жыл бұрын
I do not, but I do blow-dry with a round brush to get it straighter

I straighten my roots on the top layer and hairline before I curl anything, then do whatever curl technique I'm doing that day. It works really well to make sure the visible roots are nice and smooth and the flyaways are limited.

What about that same tool but the 1 1/4? I’m trying to figure out which one to get between that or the 1 inch. My hair is like almost to my collarbone

So while doing the "correct" curl you twist the hair with the iron while letting go?
@RachelDee3 жыл бұрын
You can play with it. You'll notice a slight variation in the end result depending on how little or how much you twist it on the release.

Does anyone on here know about the 3/4 inch curling iron? The link takes me to the site, but the site only has a tapered 3/4 inch. So it’s big at top and tappers down to a smaller size at the bottom. But all her videos, she has a regular barrel. I’m confused 🥴
