This is just about the only useful of this plant on the internet. A wealth of information from here that can't be captured by reading articles or forums. Thank you! Are you thinking of posting a year-update on this plant? I have some seedlings that are slowly growing up and am interested in how yours have fared.
@PlantzNThings5 жыл бұрын
Thanks... I seem to do updates on this one when I remember... the poor dear is always forgotten on its shelf... I think because it's so slow

I have seedlings I planted a few months ago, they’re just starting to turn orange! 🧡 How have yours done over the last year?

I had gotten a little baby from one of my friends plants I have to go out of state for emergency and didn't get to water my plants for weeks he was still thriving and my philodendrons and snake plants they are my favorite plants also it's really great to let them go bone dry it seems to push them to grow and I've have no bugs because if that I think

@@PlantzNThings any tips on growing these from seeds? I bought some seeds online, and have had no luck with them :( sprinkled seeds on top of soil, Ive tried them with a humidity tent, and also some seeds without. They sit in lighted window all day, then at night I put a lamp on them, nothing what so ever for well over a month :(
@miche70325 жыл бұрын
They can get quite big. I used to have a big one. Now I have a baby that I grew from seeds. Very easy to care for.

Very cool :) they are beautiful plants.. they take a long time to mature from seed... well at least for me they did... but its a fun process :)

@@phenylalaninemusic hiiii. How are your babies going? Any tips?
@phenylalaninemusic3 жыл бұрын
@@hisrds Hi! 3 out of 10 seeds sprouted. One is growing really well and already has the “fire flash” coloration, the other two are just kind of small still. They seem like they need the same care as other Chlorophytum. If you go on Instagram you can find my pix on occasionalplantjournal 🙂

I’m always surprised when my plants do great when I don’t water them and then I remember that’s why I don’t over water.

6 years! Wow! I’ve had mine in my office for less than a year and it has grown huge. I think yours are not growing because you have too many squished together and the pot is small.

I have mine in a pot with no drainage. Is that okay for this plant?
@gman12883 жыл бұрын
Hello there I was wondering if I could use multiple purpose compost for this plant
@PlantzNThings3 жыл бұрын
It should be fine... but I would add extra drainage... either pumice or perlite. Either a 50/50 mix or 2 parts compost and 1 part perlite.. lately I have been going higher on my perlite

is this plant toxic to cats or dogs? I know some orchids are non toxic & the name seems to suggest a relation. this plant looks easily divided.
