"How come all your recipes, you never fail?" Jack, everyone in every comment section of every one of your videos is saying the exact opposite of this. No one has ever seriously said this regarding your videos ever. Also, put the damn thing in the freezer for an hour. Jesus.

Jack, use a deep dish pie crust mold or even a cake tin. The cookie crust is too thick. Also if you want a cheap and easy one, get a pre done oreo cookie crust pie dough (in the pudding section) fill it with your favorite ice cream; top with melted chocolate ganache (1/2 choco chips, 1/2 cream melted) and then top with toffee bits which are located in the choco chip section. This will be much better and everyone loves it. Easy, fast, delicious.

Even if you are eating healthy you can still ear it, just make the cookie dough homemade that is lower in calories and fat, use sugar free or homemade hot fudge topping and use frozen yogurt or homemade ice cream
@joyitadarling58157 жыл бұрын
Autumn Petro it will still probably come up to a lot of sugar though, but it would definitely be significantly less.

Oh God. Blue Bell ice cream is my crack. Seriously, it's a problem. One day I passed a Blue Bell ice cream delivery truck on the road and literally day dreamed about leaping onto the back and begging them to let me in. The cookie dough is a good flavor, but the cookies and cream, Dutch chocolate, homemade vanilla, butter Pecan, and especially the mint cookies and chocolate chip are my favorite. Sometimes I think Blue Bell ice cream is the only thing that has kept me in the south.

I would've suggested to maybe sit the pan in some warm water to try to release the crust and pre slicing it before the freezer also. I made a red velvet/vanilla ice ream cake for my Daughter's graduation. Beautiful cake she loved it, but it there was some work involved! Ice cream pies and cakes always do. Good vid Jack take care. Hey Jack,Betty crockers cookie mix is the worst. I have a bunch sitting in my pantry that I am going to throw out. I would recommend for this recipe or any other recipe like this that you use Pillsbury frozen cookie dough, that is the best.

Maybe the recipe should've called for a chewier cookie base so that it won't crumble or be as rock hard... but over all.. it's a great recipe!

@dopburnnin10 жыл бұрын
I donno maybe after you cook the pie crust you could slice it then, then add your ice cream and mini cookies (I'd probably skip the mini cookies all together and and make this in a casserole dish and serve them as squares instead of slices) but i guess now its just a completely different recipe

@adriennemcmillan963710 жыл бұрын
With this type of dish it would probably be best to bake the cookie til it is baked but still very soft, remember to only lightly press the cookie into the pie plate and not pack down the dough. Try to take it out of the freezer a while before serving so it will not be rock hard.There is no reason your dish couldn't look like the picture. Maybe dome the ice cream a bit instead of it being completely flat, the recipe doesn't say it has to be flat. Or even if you don't do that, in the picture the cookies are kinda stacked on top of each other, over lapping quite a bit instead of laying flat on the top as you did. There a other helpful tips on the recipes comments. www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/chocolate-chip-cookie-ice-cream-pie/b3a9748a-d65a-41cd-b2a3-c7c330770054 I think there is nothing wrong with the recipe. Everyone just might not be able to execute it the same way as the Betty Crocker test kitchen intended. It would be much easier and less likely to fail if you just made a warm batch of cookies with a side of cold ice cream lol, just like you said. Baking is not for everyone. Good luck next time! Maybe just make ice cream sandwiches and skip the pie plate.
