Talking about gloomy weather, here in California it has been a true ‘June Gloom’. Everything is wet with a misting from the low lying clouds. The sun usually comes out by noon. The garden (and myself) loves this weather. We are all still watching our carb intake at my house but I will make these for a weekend treat. My husband has lost about 15 pounds in a month by keeping to his diet during the week and only indulging on weekends. I’m not as disciplined as him so I’m staying about the same. I’m afraid that I like sweets and carbs much more than he does! Thank you for faithfully sharing your recipes twice a week. You are the best!

Hi Jean. I think the sun came out here, by noon, a week last Tuesday, LOL. Dieting can be tiresome as I know from experience. But it can also be very rewarding as the pounds drop off. My only effort to reduce carbs is to eliminate potatoes from my diet, in the main. But even there when the Jersey Royals were in season, and for things like Shepherd's Pie I have to make an exception.
