When I left the Amish, I thought I was going to Hell. That's what I was taught. I found Jesus a year or 2 later and finally found peace.
@JimXultra2 жыл бұрын
Right on!!!! Definitely ain't going to hell for leaving the Amish. As you mentioned Jesus brings peace. He is the key. He is the way . He paid the price for all of our sins ( the believers) . Any belief less than that and they're downplaying the ultimate sacrifice . I would rather have faith like yours than just be Amish and follow rules with no religious reasoning behind them. Love your videos man !!!

Glad you got out of there bub. The technical term for what they’re doing is called “Ritualistic Abuse”. Good people never use religion as a weapon (threatening that people are going to hell if they leave) is a huge sin, in and of itself. There’s a lot of religious people in this world but not all of them necessarily going to heaven. I think God loves all his children who follow the 10 commandments and repent for their sins, both of which are very easy things to do in my experience. Moral of the story, god bless you and hope holding strong dude.

I've always found it very sad and frustrating that the Amish are taught and continue to teach the untruth about having to live the Amish life or you will go to hell. I'm so happy you now know the truth after leaving, yes Jesus is the only way to heaven and the Bible makes that perfectly clear.
@amishog81232 жыл бұрын
They teach that as well. I have heard them preach that many times. BUT, There is a translation error when it comes to salvation. They think it means "safe". They think that anyone who is "saved" thinks they can now sin and get away with it. Matthew 18 32-35. There are plenty of Amish who walk with Jesus, they will just never call it "saved". The act of leaving the Amish is not why they think you will go to Hell. It's because almost everyone who leaves already drank and smoked and lied about it and led a life of sin, while under the watchful eyes of the Amish. They don't think you will become a better person when you go into the world where there is no supervision over you. And most of us go wild after we leave😁

@amishog81232 жыл бұрын
@@kellykroeger714 there are a lot that break the rules (and then confess) rather than leave. Because they are taught they will go to Hell for leaving. I left because I was frustrated with my elders "picking" on me, and I joked around about leaving with my cousin, and he was all for it. So we left together. I left behind my girlfriend, and told her I would be back in a month or 2
@kellykroeger7142 жыл бұрын
@@amishog8123 I'm sorry you had to grow through that. I know how it feels however it's not so much of picking on me it's me it's more me not having a relationship with my mom the way I would like to have. I have others that took her place but it's not the same. So you aren't alone it happens no matter where you are from what religion you practice or culture. It must of been very difficult for you to leave the ones you love especially when they love you back. Why didn't your girlfriend go with you? I'm sure it was hard to tell her what you really wanted to do probably cause of fear she would say something right? Where did you go and what about money. I'm sure that's a huge shocker for anyone who leaves. I gotta be honest with you I really think that with all this nonsense with politics and the inflation the Amish have the right idea to an extent. If you take away all the fear of God and control over you about religion and how to live your life their way it wouldn't be such a bad thing. To be self sufficient especially today and to be left alone by the government sounds really good right now. Why don't you come up with something like that for all the Amish who leave this way they have a choice and if they want to stay they can if they don't then you can teach them the skills they would need to make it outside of the community and the way things are. Sorry I just wrote a paragraph.

Yes, but not for the act of leaving. They think temptations are everywhere out in the world. And they have doubts that a person could resist. And you know what? Temptations are hard to resist out here. They are right. You get exposed to things and people that you never see in the Amish. Now every community is different, but so are the individuals in the community. And what an Amish kid learns about the rules of the Amish comes mainly from his parents' interpretation. So you will have some parents that swear their child will go to hell for leaving. Even if they dont believe it themselves. In an effort to scare their kids into coming back. The things you are talking about do happen but 99% of the time, it's coming from a desperate parent, not the community or the elders. There is a creator out there who blurs those lines intentionally, because he blames himself for some things that happened
