Such a cool knife. The older I get the harder it comes to choose between the Bowie and the kukri as my favorite style of knife. This one is about the same size as my Prince kukri from KHHI in 52100 steel, probably my favorite fixed blade.These medium kukris are just such good blades to have around.

Definitely looks like a nice khukuri! I have one made in Nepal and another made in Texas. The biggest "issue" for using these types of traditional khukuri knives is their weight. With 3/8 thick spines and 12 to 14 inch blade lengths, weighing up to 2 pounds each. But they are designed to be heavy duty chopping blades, having the ability to chop through almost anything! Scab, this khukuri looks more "lively" in the hand which will enhance it's ability to be a viable defensive tool, along with its design and blade length, making it a good utility knife.

@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors Yes, they are excellent tools! I have a KHHI Max kukri made in Nepal and a 11" Harpoon Tip Khukri made by Knives By Hand (out of Texas). And the other thing that I like about the Spartan-Harsey kukri is the black powder-coat finish!

Love it Scab! Practical size and not crazy big. Solid width. Love 1095! And love the handle - a lot of the traditional kukhri handles don’t fit my mits well. So I like the modern handle on that one. You proved its worth chopping that log at the start! That is definitely a ‘one knife does it all’. I thought my Bowie was good but a knife like that gets you thinking. Blackie also mentioned something useful that Kukhri can also be used as a digging tool at a push. Hope you have a great week Brother 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

I am not a huge fan of Khukri knives, but I do dig this one and I like that it looks stealthy, and it has a button lock on the sheath, now that is extra security for holding it in the sheath that's Ingenius.

I love a kukri! I think one of the first videos I saw from you was you chopping stuff with one and I was hooked! I still have 3 of them I collected as a kid (teens and 20s). I have this crazy 2 foot long one. They are all crap knives I bought at the pier or some liquor store, but it reminds me of how I was drawn to this blade shape. After I pay off my Blade Show buys and hopefully get that WTG Famine when it drops, I have to pick up a legit one from the Kukri House!

I was clearing bush in the Kalahari back in 98. A south Texas cowboy stuck his chainsaw under a mesquite looking bush and cut away, after awhile he was like "huh, I thought I put a new chain on it. He changed it and ruined another. After that a Native got in there with a chiped up machete and beat into the shrub for probably 10 minutes non stop. It was the Kalahari version of ironwood. Man that stuff give us Americans some trouble

I thought it was a bit heavier for sure reason? Did that pressure treated 4x4 roll the edges at all? I'd love to see one 9f these with wood scales! Do they have that as an option where you purchase these? Those straps didn't stand a chance! I am an absolute fan of the 1095...i feel it's the best steel you can have in the bush...it is one of the best and easiest steels to sharpen! This is a killer blade for sure!
