I really enjoy your clips and even though I don't understand Korean, you have a very calming voice. I like the way you're able to capture the essence of a person's curves that make up their expression; you don't simply copy the outlines that define the body: you seem to deeply understand the importance of each curvature you have to bring in your stroke to impersonate what makes a picture alive. Your hand draws with so much zeal and technique, that's very impressive. A true mastermind. Plus, your drawing tutorials are the most educational I've ever seen. The voiceover and the light music are also incredibly soothing. I don't feel belittled by your tone or an aggressive format like we usually see. It only feels like learning in the most satisfying and authentic possible way.

안녕하세요 Heo Kim Isaac님~ 음.. 아마도 대학에 대한 영상은 당분간 만들기는 어려울것 같아요 ^^; 간단히 이야기드리자면 대학은 많은 것을 배울수 있지만 아마도 기본기에 관한것들은 자신이 따로 늘 연습을 해야 할거에요. 미술대학도 여러 분야가 있기때문에 저도 다 설명드리지 못하겠네요;; 참고로 저는 대학 1,2학년은 엄청 놀고 ㅋ 군대가서 해부학을 공부하기 시작했답니다 제가 미술대학에 대해 조언할 입장이 아닌것 같아요 :) 아마도 이렇게 대학가기전부터 이렇게 관심있는걸 보니 잘 하실거라 생각합니다!!

Would it be silly if I asked you the proper way to make one of those styrofoam balls you used as a model? It's genius! I think having one, especially a small one I could take with me, would really help me visualize. But I also struggle with proportions and especially with making features too large for the head I started with, so I'd like to make sure I have all the marks in the proper proportional place. If that is actually something you can help with, if not I apologize and I'm really grateful for the idea and the video! This is just me rambling now, but I tend to do what I see a lot of KZbin artists do and fudge the proper placement when I sketch but I forget that those artists actually understand the anatomy they're drawing, with which I am still struggling but learning more every day. I don't know why my brain has so much trouble translating the knowledge into shapes on paper. Probably something about my right brain being too loud.

why not just get clay, shape it into a ball and draw the lines on it when it hardens? just an idea, it should be about as good. I'm also clueless about the styrofoam ball.

Styrofoam balls can be easily purchased on the Internet in Korea. But I don't know how it is in your country.😅 I want you to search for it.

세상 모든게 그렇지만 원리(?)를 스스로 깨닫기 전까지는 아무리 쉽게 가르쳐줘도 모르지요. 아무리 이론 책으로 공부하고 해도 안될때는 안되고 잘하는 사람은 금방 하죠(재능차이?) 암튼 저도 한때 그림 그렸었지만 뭔가 "알겠다!" 싶을때까지 매우 오래 걸렸죠. 그런데 그걸 느끼고 난 후에는 그냥 그려지더라구요. 많이 그려보는게 제일 중요하고 더 중요한건 때때로 잠시 쉬는것도 중요하더라구요. 뭔가 알것 같아서 엄청 그렸던 적이 있는데 그 한 스텝을 넘지 못해서 에라모르것다 하고 한 6개월 그림 안그렸었어요. 근데 문득 그림 그리고 싶어서 펜을 잡았는데 그 전까지 안 그려졌던 것이 그려지더라구요. 이유는 저도 몰라요. 아마도 쉬는 동안 머리도 쉬면서 천천히 나도 모르게 생각을 정리하고 있던 것이라고 생각해요.

I haven’t been drawing for long at all, so take what i say with a grain of salt, but i think using guidelines like this are good if you’re drawing without a model. But if you’re drawing from a model or image, just draw what you see
