Snek Ku means My Snack! Perfect name for a snack company! Mi Mi means noodles - from the shape. We repeat the name (same as in Chinese) to mean a lot or plural. Same company also makes them in a tiny pillow shape, called Tam Tam, cute baby talk name for pillows (it actually means drum or drumming) referring to the action most parents and grandparents make of patting the pillow with their hands like a drum when putting young kids to bed-lay your head here kind of vibe. As you can guess by now, we’re pretty big on nostalgic things.

For Malaysia, when you asked Malaysian what is snack then they would say those process food not like other Asian countries (street / traditional snack) but we do have snacks like them too, but we called it Jajan/Kueh/cucur/kerepek/keropok(usually eat at breakfast or teatime) equivalent your amuse buche / canapes.

Okay. I sat through the whole episode before commenting and I don't think I could choose. Everything looked good. The only thing that gave me a little pause was the airag but then I thought, I've had cow's milk, goat's milk and even bison milk. Why should I balk at mare's milk? You only live once so I would have to say, I choose not to choose. I know that's not allowed but sometimes, you have to make your own rules. Gimme, gimme, gimme. Lol

Apollo and Mi-Mi are famous here in Mindanao (Philippines) especially in Provinces nearest in Malaysia like Tawi-Tawi, Sulu and Basilan even in Zamboanga.
do this series again with other countries and other snacks from the countries you already covered, but maybe make the snacks more comparable? Canada: compare Ruffles all dressed vs Lays ketchup chips, or coffee crisp vs vachon bakery snacks China: egg tart vs bolo bao Japan: mochi vs japanese cheesecake Korea: tteok kochi vs Bindaetteok just as a few examples

I'd live to see them do a full try not to eat Turkish food. If the Airag is anything like Turkish Ayran, i would rather drink sewer water. It's one of the worst things I've ever had in my mouth. 🇹🇷🧿
