"Smol" corrections, thanks to a discord user who made me aware of a calculation mistake: For Jiyan: Lustrous Razor: 417578, +51.8% in comparison to Broadblade#41 Broadblade#41: 275079 Sorry for that! EDIT: Just to clarify, as you may or may not know I usually do publish all my sheets, however, in this case I cannot yet. There are actually multiple reasons on why, one of which I cannot disclose, one of which being that there WILL be changes between these calcs in this sheet and calcs in the future - characters change from the cbt2 to release, new best rotations are discovered and so on. If I spot a mistake I will correct it in this comment as I did with jiyan. The problem herein lies, that I have multiple calcs on many resonators in this sheet. I cannot guarantee these calcs wont all differ from the release version of the game and hence I want to provide an overview on what could be the case if nothing changes. If a character doesnt change much, this will MOSTLY be accurate if I didnt make a grave mistake such as with jiyan. If it's 37% or 36% it won't change too much, but 10%+ like in this case does. Though my reasoning didnt change. My entire reasoning isn't even based on the calcs, if you noticed, for this exact reason.

okay, honestly speaking - this thumbnail made me not want to watch your channel at all on first site, but I didn't realize it said "RUIN YOUR ACCOUNT" instead of the usual. Excellent work my guy that deserves a sub. Though I think you have to be careful in the future cause it will make some people who are tired of stuff like that not want to see your videos to not click. I think I'll need to play the game for a while before choosing as I'm not even sure who will be my main dps. Ling yian and Danjin caught my attention the most gameplay wise, but you never know how it really feels until you actually play them so yeah... Might need to wait. Also very sad that i like Calcharo design the most but I didn't like his gameplay, but who knows.

i started getting recommended the "ruin account" things too and damn it's sad... people aren't capable of just enjoying things anymore, it's all about meta and efficiency to the point of making it feel like a job or chore instead of a game that's supposed to be fun to play. Of course it's good to be aware of what's better and whatnot, but for example I'd rather choose a character I enjoy and will naturally get better at instead of the meta choice that'll likely be viable only at first because of gacha powercreep...

Thank you for this! I didn't think about one weapon for multiple units! As I want to main calcharo, but also get Jiyan it now gives me a good idea what weapons to prioritize. I, too, despise videos with the same tired "don't ruin your account" I make it habit to skip those now because most of them have the same old tired information. Next question, if i get multiple copies of the 5* store from all the standard banner pulls we are going to get from playing the game.. is it better to have 2~3 swords for teams that have more than 1 sword user, or is it better to refine the sword?

I guess it depends on ur team, I plan on using danjin, rover and verina, so in my case having 2 sword chars might be a good option but then again rover can use a 4* well and total DMG won't skyrocket if he/she uses a 5* as he/she is just a sub dps but in case of danjin her DMG will increase significantly so it all depends on your teams and builds etc

The weapon banners and character banners are separate. Also, you have 100% guarantee to get the featured 5* weapon on limited banners. Also, on the standard weapon banner, you can choose which 5* standard weapon do you want. Meaning... You will basically never get multiple copies of the same weapon, unless you WANT to. Personally, at least at the start of the game, I will probably go for more characters rarther than weapons. And even when I start going for weapons... I don't think going for weapon dupes is really worth it as f2p, unless I plan on having multiple sword users on the team or something like that. (I haven't done the maths, so take it with a grain of salt, but... Reading the skill descriptions on prydwen, I don't felel like an extra "superimposition" or two on the standard 5* weapons would be really that impactful. I think what makes them stand out from 4*s are their base stats, more so than the passive skills.)

5:07 Taoqi? 5:13 Jianxin? I guess you don't have numbers for these characters? Or maybe you don't consider them DPS? Can we safely assume that their damage increase would be similar to the average damage increase? Or would one or both be higher or lower than the average you calculated? Also, considering this video is aimed at people who want to complete as much of Tower as possible, isn't a major factor the characters best suited to the first Tower? My thinking is that I want to clear as much of Tower as possible in the first cycle. Then, I will continue to build out my account. With that goal in mind, I would want to build characters that are best matched for the first Tower cycle, with the expectation that I'll build other characters later, as the Tower requirements change. Therefore, I would want weapons to support those characters. So, even if a weapon is best overall for my account, I may want to get this weapon later, if the characters I'm focused on building for the first cycle don't use this weapon. I think I've suggested this before, but I'll suggest again. I'd like to see a recommended characters to collect/build if one is focused on clearing as much of Tower in the first cycle as possible. If there are multiple sets of characters that would be well-suited to clearing Tower, a tierlist of teams to collect/build would be very interesting and useful. If I didn't like the top tier list of characters, I could select a lower tier with characters I do like. Then, I could select echoes and weapons to support these characters. (This could be a whole video series.)

Baizhi is missing as well and Taoqi and Jianyin are both more supportive units and as I said in the video I have not included them, since, and that touches your next point, the most important part to clearing the Tower is a strong DPS. Sustain (Taoqi, "Verina" (lol), "Baizhi") is negligable because you can well, use the game mechanics and dodge and parry, and we only really have a hand ful of supports who handful of supports who don't scale at all with better weapons (well at least the ones I didnt mention, Verina, Baizhi for example). Regarding your suggestion, my new editor is already sweating for all the videos coming up as am I, however I like the idea and will note it down and keep it in mind! Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I either have missed it the first time or simpyl forgotten (sry very busy currently!).

Idk about jianxin but taoqi is a def scaling character so the 5* weapon is not suited for her and the passive isn't so great that it overshadows the sub stat.... And yeah knowing which characters to pull and build would be amazing especially when u need 3 teams.
