I think it was very genius and sweet from the director ideal to tell a story that way to emerse the audience in the show which it did as someone who felt this way. Though s2 it's the same place, it's not like they travel like s1. So it doesn't need that type of opening. This make sense if u understand what I'm saying but I won't ignore that it can be because the direction choice. S2 was not far different from s1 though. It's still very emersing.

Honestly I'm shocked that people consider the 3rd op of Spy x Family to be the worst one. The vocals are done by Ado who has a voice that blows almost everyone away, and the instrumental side of things is done by the seatbelts, who did the Cowboy Bebop opening. That's a crazy combo and it's my 3rd favourite opening of all time. If I had to pick I'd go for op1 for sure. Not because it's bad obviously, but because it's the worst of the 3 in my opinion.
