I'm in the pixel 9 fold camp. I've used both devices and 3 things stand out that let me learn comfortably in the pixel arena. First, the cover screen. It's usable. This cuts down on the inner screen usage. It's essentially the same size as the iPhone pro Max or the pixel XL. Second, the software is compact and usable. Yes, Samsung has more "features", 90% of which I won't use or even consider. Third, the cameras produce more realistic color and shading scenes. In short, is the of picI just took, what my eye sees. The key point of multitasking breaks down like this for me. Realistically how many open apps or split screen conditions would I use? Rarely 2, never 3 or more. So having the ability to use 3 or more is not an advantage for me. Though, having a floating window would be a plus. I'm hearing that floating window and desktop mode (dex) are in the works and should be available in the near future, after the release of Android 15. Pixel fold for me

The pixel 9 fold is not remotely close to the usability of the iphone pro max or even the pixel 9 pro xl. It has almost the width of a galaxy s23U ultra (less than a mm less wide) but has the usable screen width of a pixel 9. Which is only 2-3mm wider in actual screen area than the zf6. You're adding a ton of width and harming one handability on the outside for a minimal amount of extra outer screen width (further reduced by Google's insistence on super bubbly, rounded edges)

i went with google pixel 9 fold. and its been snappy and quick.i use it for both work and home. i like how multitasking make my work easier. i like that android stock UI i also like the feel and the look. i had the samsung fold 3 and i didnt like how skinny front cover was. and i wish google can fix up and made it possible to do desktop mode. like a dex on samsung. overall im glad i got the google pixel 9 pro fold.

Pixel is perfect because the cover screen is just as good as a traditional candy bar style phone. Using it unfolded is a media powerhouse. Not on the level of Z Fold but I still love it

🐬🐬🐬 where I live Samsung galaxy fold 6 sells at 1200$ for the 256 Gb.I think I will still chose a slab phone over a foldable one. I had the galaxy fold 5 for a couple of months but I was still reaching for a tablet when I wanted to get things done. I think the smartphone these days is a tool and I for one don’t really have time to enjoy tech when I’m on the go and when I get home I have my iPad Air or my MacBook Air. I have the Z Fold 6 and think it's a great foldable phone despite it's too narrow cover display. However, I picked up the Google Pixel 9 pro Fold two days ago. It's my first Pixel phone and so far I really enjoy using it. I'm torn between the 2 so I may keep both. Samsung wins with multi-tasking and the s-pen but the Pixel wins with a larger inner display and more usable larger cover display.

Owning both, I would agree with all your points. Even the more subtle things like the speakers. IMHO you can't go wrong with either. Usually it boils down to how much one hates OneUI and will you actually use the s-pen. I also agree that the zfold hinge "feels" a little more robust, but we're talking about folding phones amd any of them can randomly break (see reddit for any model). Great video and comparisons. 🐬

I took m P9PF back after about 10 days because of an incurable Blue Tooth problem. Maximum 6 foot range to me Bose head phones, terrible connection to my hearing aids, Dropping connection to my car (Phone as a Key). I tried every control in Settings/developer... nothing helped. I'm not the only one, Google it. Too bad, I REALLY liked it otherwise.

How much did Google pay you for this so called "comparison" video? Because the whole time it sounds like you are making excuses for the Pixel not being as good as the Galaxy in most aspects and downplaying the great parts about the Galaxy so that it's not so glaring. I'm not saying the Galaxy is perfect and I agree that I like how the Pixel has a wider cover screen for day to day use and I am super disappointed that Samsung dropped the ball with the camera system as well. For that kind of cash it should have cameras that are at least as good as the latest S24 Ultra. Those two things alone are what kept me from pulling the trigger on getting the Flip 6. But I was hoping for a better overall showing from the Pixel though and I think I'll just hold off on them both. Just like with the Pixel 9 Pro XL they missed the mark compared to the Galaxy and iPhone flagships. Those feel like premium devices and Pixel feels like a mid-range in a cheap disguise trying to compete way outta their league by paying people like you to cheerlead for them instead of spending the money on making a worthy competitor 🤦🏼🤷🏼

I’ve owned both, I’ve stuck with the pixel fold 2 because it’s just more practical plain and simple. Samsung is getting too comfortable with incremental updates and requiring more money for the same experience. Google is actually listening to consumers and making notable changes that actually are useful day to day and not just on occasion. Samsung needs to revamp their upgrade experience

I love Samsung, but their fold to me drives me bat shit crazy with that narrow display. I had the 3 and 4 and refuse to ever get another until they make that outer display the size of a regular phone. I went with the Pixel 9 pro fold and loving it... What I am loving the most is it didn't come with a ton of bloat ware like Samsung does. Now I do miss Samsung ability to have 2 different layouts, but I found using Total Launcher gives me that ability so it's no big deal.

How does the extra bezel make it more comfortable to hold this just doesn't make sense. If the bezel was screen it would feel the exact same as if the bezel wasn't screen. For me it's definitely the fold. Finally i got a phone that i can use with one hand, and put in my pocket easy. IF I need the bigger screen i just unfold them. Also considering you get the best processor out there in the market unlike the mediocre tensor. Yes its all about software...but those AI will also be available on samsung..if tensor can handle them, the qualcomm will be even better. Also Google only give 1 year free, while Samsung at the moment free indefinitely. So for almost the same amount, its definitely fold 6.

I was leaning heavily on getting the pixel 9 fold. And since I didn't have a phone to trade in because of a cracked screen I was gonna have to pay full price. But then amazon had a lightening deal of 25% off on the fold 6. So far it's been amazing. I primally used iPhone but bought the z fold 3 when it came out because I wanted to test a foldable device but went back to iPhone when the 14 came out. So far the fold 6 was been AMAZING. Im extremely happy with it. Adding the Gboard and turning on swipe gestures has made it more "iPhone" like with day to day use.

I love the overall real-estate of the Pixel screens, much better than before, but still lacks sense to me. Combining the 2 would be the perfect blend. I'm gonna disagree. I chose the Fold because of the ability to handle it better when closed. Phones are getting very wide and you have to use 2 hands at all times it seems, but on the Fold you can easily use one handed when closed unlike the Pixel. If you spend most of your time on the cover screen and like that form factor, don't be a sucker and save yourself the cash and buy a Pixel 9 Pro. 🤦🏽‍♂️
