Choosing 19 rims instead of 20's? Springs over air bags?

A few years back I decided to switch out the stock 17's the G37 came with and after much debate between 19's and 20's, I choose to go with 19's. In this video I talk about the reason why I went with 19's + springs versus a more aggressive setup and I also go over how I feel about about my choice today.

Just got a daily g37x coupe.Oct.2019 I've installed ghost door lights got emblem like yours but all chrome Got the module for the taillights. ¤ ¤ Bright led. Reverse lights Bright led license plate lights. Got new Hids, fog and brake lights bright white. Led fog & brake I was at car meet @ Eibach company in Corona Ca. And picked up some springs (Eibach) 1.8 drop in front & 1.0 in back.. haven't installed yet. I worried it's too low I'm on 18". I also installed a strap tow hitch on front. Bright white led dome lights & trunk. Painted brake calipers.....&...ummm That's it soo far...

@@norontboyz5949 Pretty awesome. I went with fresh shocks/struts with them. Drop is good, I don’t scrape on many things I wouldn’t have before, and the ride is very comfortable and smooth. Looks great. Did you lower the car first before the rims? I want to know what the car would look like with 19s or 20s without lowering as I heard the car handles stiff with just stock setup. I am thinking about getting a Q40 on Monday and that's one of the first things I want to do is get rid of the ugly stock wheels. I'm coming from a 2006 G35 base model.

I have the coupe, and it came with 19's. So I changed them out and went with 20's. The bump in the road that you speak of, isn't too bad. You have to remember that any time you go lower your vehicle, and have low profile tires, you're going to sacrifice some ride quality. I put the best of the best on my coupe, and yes I still feel SOME bumps. I went with Stance coils and Swift springs. My first set of 20's, I ran 265/35/20 Nittos, and my second set I'm running 255/35/20 Nittos. The ride is still pretty good. These cars, at least the coupes factory suspension will wear from the inside anyway. Simply because of the way it's set up. But I'm not going to complain, it's what I wanted..

I have the 09, bought the akebono calipers and now I have to get 18 for the winter cuz I have 17 for the winter and they will not clear with the 17 so mad lol

I was thinking on lowering my g like my previous one I had i miss riding low but dont miss scraping everywhere and been scared of goin new places with big dips if I had the money I would do bags tein s tech where to low looked sick tho not to mention tires wearing out if you want perfect fitment guna cost good money for camber toe arms so I'm riding stock for now 😭

this is literally the set up im going for on my 2007 G35x Sedan. I just got Tein H-Tech springs and im now looking for wheels. Do you happen to know what tire size I should be running without ruining my awd system. Maybe I should stick to the same stock specs which is 225/55/17.....Im thinking squared 225/40/20

20's look great but....comfort and ride quality wise, 19's is the way to go. I'm riding on 245/40 19's on all four corners.

Miami_g37 No. I wanted to upgrade from the factory Tokicos. They were still usable. Tad bit too floaty. I feel that I can drive less worried about the road imperfections. The rebound feels as if I am at stock height (I am on Swifts)

If your stock tires are 18s then no. You’ll need tires for 19s.

unless you have the IPL 19's then no, you will need to get a set of new tires.

19 are perfect ... 20 is huge and only if you bag.. I have 19 and with coilovers about 2in from the ground
