it’s been such a huge freedom for me, realizing what you’re talking about here: loyalty to privilege and oppressive structures doesn’t benefit us!

I've never thought of slow living as decolonization, but the more I hear about this perspective, the more I love it. Thank you for the video love- mwah!

@@tsingletary6311 What a sweet ass message and from what you shared, we have much in common!😊🌱🌿 Knowing that beings like you exist is also re-affirming to me since this path can sometimes feel a little more lonely despite its other perks. Happy soon to be 40th digital friend! I hope the next decade is just as abundant with growth, trust, peace and self-trust🌻

i am writing this comment from South Africa, i have been a subscriber for almost year now and i just wanted to leave this comment and let you know how grateful i am for the existence of human hearts such as yours. You and your channel have really been soothing and insiring as someone who grew up in and is still in some way living cultures and ways of life that dont feel truly aligned, that my personal desires are my birthright and possible in this life time. Thank You so much May.

So beautifully said. Thank you so much. I was smiling the whole time and I felt so understood. Everything you touched on I could relate so much. I‘m also in my thirties, African, born and raised in Germany and I‘m living a simple lifestyle which feels perfect to me. For so long I thought I had to start some sort of a business or career, get a degree because that is what I learned from home and that always seemed to be the topic of the day when i hung out with my friends in my twenties. But I’ve come far to realize that I’m a very simple person and the simple pleasures of life excite me. And since I chose to live my life according to myself I’ve been the most peaceful person 🤭
