I used to use an Epson ET-2550 kzbin.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.

That sounds like a great alternative, to be honest I am still disappointed with the Pro - 200's print speed even when on a lower quality print setting

Finding good inktjet paper cards online in the EU is difficult right now. I bought a second hand package from the german amazon site (the only one available) and the cards arrived damaged in the corners. Glad I have an OK paper cutter, but obviously this takes time to correct the errors. It is good to see UK and US have so much to offer, but for EU customers this means import taxes, long, long delays... It allmost makes more sense to get printable photo paper stickers and just stick them to matte printable cardstock.

Thank you for your review. I have this printer and I have purchased so many card blanks. I completely agree re the issues printing vibrant cards using even inkjet card blanks. Can you tell me which paper you would recommend?

Great video! How well does text come out on this printer? Is the text crisp or is it a little blurry like on quite a lot of inkjet printers?

Re the speed, my epson R3000 smears on my chosen paperstock when it runs faster. So I like to keep the speed slower. It is fine on inkjet stock. Slow is good for me!
@DarkDekieon3 жыл бұрын
Great video. Just an FYI, the printer's speed has nothing to do with its connection to the computer. It's speed is it's speed. The higher quality your have it print at, the slower it will go.

Hi, it's been two years now since you made this video & I'm wondering if you would still recommend it or if you've had any problems with it? I researched it and Consumer Reports rates it very low. I loved the borderless prints you did in your video and the fact that it did it on cardstock. I want a color printer mostly to make occasional cards and crafts, but want to be able to do it with ease without any problems. Thanks so much for your help, am really looking forward to your reply.

Hi! Thank you for your comment. It’s tricky. Pros: -Awesome Quality prints - Borderless printing - Can print on a wide variety of media - Very easy to use - Reasonably quick at printing Cons, - Drinks ink and they are expensive Purely because of the expensive inks I couldn’t buy this printer again for business purposes but as an all-round home printer I love it. I printed out a lot of my wedding photos on there and they look like they were professionally done.

considering how slow it prints, might be good for button making. get the most value out of each sheet, though there's more labor & shipping stuff to deal with, but it's another way to monetize the drawings you make. some people are button fanatics but don't care about patches. i don't get it either lol

That is an excellent idea! I've made a few sticker sheets on it now but badges are always popular at the comic-cons too. I've been looking for an excuse to buy a badge machine.

Hi :) what kind of paper are you printing, like postalcard paper types?
@diannebarton329310 ай бұрын
I bought that printer in the summer after my other Canon Pixma died. I love this printer, as I do a lot of printing for the greeting cards I make. Until yesterday, I hadn't tried printing on 11 x 17 (tabloid) cardstock and I was tearing my hair out. 🤣. No matter what I did, it kept telling me the paper I had in the printer didn't match my settings. I had chosen the 11 x 17 in the printer settings, and also had selected cardstock as my paper type. There must be another setting that I'm not seeing. Do you know what I'm missing? 😊

Hello! Thank you for you comment. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the printer maintenance to give you a definite answer, but the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to print on some card stock also, so it sounds like it could be an issue with the printer itself registering thicker mediums. My printer did eventual print, I think it's something to do with a sensor inside the machine (could be some dust on it) and I adjusted my machine to make sure the paper was entering the machine as smoothly as possible (thing are cramped in my work space so I made sure nothing was touching any walls) and after that it worked. Sorry I can't offer better advice, that's just what I did.

Hi, yes it is already prefolded. I bought it that way to save time folding and did worry it would effect alignment in the printer but it worked fine

It sounds like you need the Canon Craft printer ts9521c for your card making and the use of different cardstock thicknesses. I own one and I love it! I came across this printer while I was researching printers that I could make my own business cards on and one that could print on cds which it does that and so much more! I am also looking into purchasing a large Canon photo printer such as the Canon pro 200 or pro 300 just for printing photos only. I wish you much success with your business!❤️
