I don't do any bead weaving or stitching (wish I did) but this was an excellent video on types, sizes & uses. Thanks Becky!

Thank you so much for using the term aught instead of o when referring to bead sizes. It's surprising that so many beaders do not know that the symbol "o" when used in beading is pronounced "aught." I enjoyed your explanation of needles too.
@ArtbeadsVideos2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you saying that! I've had other comments suggest I should just say "o", but I was taught to say aught (and that rhymes)!

I'm so glad this video popped up! BECAUSE.... years ago, I purchased the kit for the aqua/lime herringbone bracelet you've shown on the thumbnail for this video. It was so stunning and summery and wonderfully slinky... but it BROKE on me... and though I could likely recreate it if I could view a photo long enough, I've misplaced instructions for it, and it has been quite a # of years since I first wove it. Are instructions still available anywhere???? Hopefully I was able to save enough of the beads to weave it again as it was --- the bits have been sitting in a bag for years! Thanks for any help you are able to provide!

Wow, I'm so glad this video was able to come your way, too! We do still have instructions for the bracelet in the thumbnail. It's our Herringbone River bracelet and you can find the tutorial and images for it here: artbeads.com/design-studio/herringbone-river-seed-bead-bracelet/

What about to just string beads for a choker? 😮
@ArtbeadsVideos Жыл бұрын
If you are just stringing beads, you don't necessarily need beading needles. Beading wire and elastic for stringing are stiff enough that the beads are easy to add without a needle.

@@ArtbeadsVideos y3s but what about the tiniest lil beads I have a hard time i need a needle lol 😆
@ArtbeadsVideos Жыл бұрын
@@sugarmoongarden8710 Oh, then yes, a needle will be helpful. You might like our bead spinner, it comes with a curved beading needle to pick up seed beads: artbeads.com/jewelry-supplies/beadalon-spin-n-bead-jr-bead-loader/ We have videos for how to use this tool on our channel, too.
