I once went to Guatemala on a day trip to Tikal. We stopped at a touristy place along the way for a break. I wanted to take something back home as a reminder. I asked a clerk to exchange a couple US dollars, not doing any research first over a couple dollars woopy, for Guatemala currency to keep as a nice reminder of the trip there. The currency he gave me was worth less than 50 percent what I gave him. He was quite mean for someone representing tourism in Guatemala, and I know he isn't everybody, but still. They can have their coffee. Tikal was awesome though!!🙂
