Also a good idea to match the width of front implements to rear implements, for example, my bucket is 72 inches wide and works well in tandem with my box scraper, brush hog or snow blower. When I'm making a new trail in my woodlot I know as long as my bucket fits between two trees my brush hog will not get hung up.

You should do a video like this but for PTO implements. I bet people tend to try the same thing with PTO implements too...well I can hook up to it, the tractor can run that PTO implement because the tractor can hookup to it.

I don't understand the need for such a big grapple as most people have much of the time - width isn't servicing anything there, it's only adding weight to the implement and decreasing how much you can pick up just a 4' grapple will grab a 12'+ 1ton log no problem (if the steel is gauged right), you can pick up just as much brush, and I don't see any advantage to a bigger handling rocks / don't see them doing it better

What about the pump differences between tractors & skid machines.
@connellyslandmanagement7252 жыл бұрын
Hey man. Maybe you could lend me a good hand with this I’ll be going to my dealer soon but I figured you could make a video to help me and others out. So I’m going to be making some changes to my little company I’m looking into a subcompact tractor to help save my back clearing limbs cleaning up old fallen trees old run down Sheds and such. I need to be able to lift roughly 1,000 ibs in a log of course I can cut them to different lengths but I don’t want to get over a certain sized machine so I can make it easier for hauling and manovering in yards and such you get the point so from a landscaping stand point and I’ll be doing water lines and such still so the backhoe attachment will be included. Stump removal is also included so I figured this might give you something to make another video on. One day I’ll be stepping up to a skid steer but for now I can only get what’s in the price range and right now that’s a good subcompact tractor cause I know they have many uses. I like the skid steer attachments on them but I want the most use of my equipment and my age teacher and my grandfather and other farmers I’ve helped through the years is always go over the Ho you need for the attachment. Cheaper to fix a attachment then the machine it’s self.. thanks in advance my friend! Your videos have helped me so far also I’ve own a John Deere and a Massey Ferguson(still have it absolutely love it cause it’s like a 70s or 80s model diesel) and a few yanmaras and I’ll say this we’ve had a kubota zero turn the zd21. I’ve used it to push car push around wood basically treated it like a mini skid steer and it’s never stopped running or driving or mowing but the rest of them have given many many issues we sold the John Deere long ago cause it was just crap I’m sorry but it was but it was also a 1120 also from roughly the 80s or 90s. Junk. The yanamars I don’t have much of a complaint with their not bad machines but still rather have my kubota. Also the yanamars went out of use probably 3 years ago. We’ve used the kubota to push it around the lot 😂😂😂 I really do love my kubota and my Massey probably the only 2 machines I’ll own ever again

What are your thoughts on the three point hitch setups that go on the back of the Kubota rtv's? I have been seeing some companies offer them and I think they list them as a category 1 they're saying you can pull discs, blades things of that nature with them.
@MessicksEquip6 жыл бұрын
Never used one. The rtv has the power, I'd question if the receiver hitch can hold up.
@astroboy97366 жыл бұрын
Sorry I just wanted to confirm that you thought a three point auger was a pain and that the front hydraulic mounted post hole digger was a much better option? Just in the market for one and thought the front end loader option was a much better one from what I can see.
@MessicksEquip6 жыл бұрын
Front ones are much nicer to use, there are some significant performance limitations though. Tractors have half hydraulic flow of a small skid loader so they can't run the auger with much speed or power. There are some low flow models with small bits that you can probably get away with.

Just ordered parts from you guys again. Another great experience. Can you tell me if Fred Cain cultivators are still made? I see a few dealers who have them in stock but they don't seem to be well advertised. Have not seen another brand to match that design.

that cultivator looks interesting. Never seen or heard of it myself.

Ok one thing you showed a hammer for a backhoe or Track hoe so it want work but then you said you can’t run a broom so why do they sale them for BX tractors ?
@jaxturner72884 жыл бұрын
The BX brooms are run off the mid pto drive, not hydraulic fluid.

Hello, quick question. Looking to put a finish mower behind a L2501. Can I run the Land Pride FDR1672 or should I stick with the FDR1660? I have a Woods 60" Brush Bull for thick or heavy stuff. This mower will be used to cut a couple of acres weekly or every other week. Thanks again for the great videos!

Hey Neil, I need a recommendation. I have a L4240 dt with 1 rear remote. I am wanting to put up Some fencing and want to Know what you would recommend as far as auger, driver etc. I live in a hilly area that is fairly rocky. What are your thoughts on a bucket mounted hydraulic auger and use the rear remote? Thanks for the help!
@MessicksEquip6 жыл бұрын
Not a fan of 3pt augers, much prefer hydraulic. Will be slower though

Hey Neil, I just wanted to say thanks for the video, and I also was wondering what grapple from Land Pride would be the best for my machine. I have a B2301 with a loader and a skidsteer quick attach, and I do have the rear tires filled with beet juice (300 lbs each). I haven't been able to find much on an actual model on Land Pride's website, though I know you can order one with the machine new. I was just wondering if you had any idea what the right grapple would be for my machine. Thanks for your time. Anyone else is free to respond as well.

You forgot to mention Category 0.
@jacksonk53087 жыл бұрын
Category 0 seems to be what you'd find on a garden tractor such as a John Deere X700 series or a Kubota GR series. It's not really meant for anything other than a small tiller or a small light duty implement.
