Choosing the best capacitor for Emerson 12" fan

Thank you for taking the time to explain this issue in detail and with the demonstration. I never would have thought about the transformer comparison and the resulting inductance. It would be nice to see a new baseline added to your chart of the original fan, performing at the its design voltage / capacitance with actual as-designed output RPM's. Doing so would show 'apples to apples' to the average restorer and compare its original output speeds to todays voltage and final output RPM's and amps with the fan blade under load.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, that would have been helpful too. However, this is a customer's fan and long gone from my shop. I might do another in the future if the opportunity arises.

Good evening on this Emerson if I would check the windings of this motor with my ohm meter how would I know what the resistance would be to compare to my ohm meter
