373, my opinion is the best gearing ⚙️ . Drag car 410 . 373 for all around performance

Hey I’m subscribed, can you please do 2013 ram with a 6 speed trans compare 3.92 vs 4.10 vs 4.56 cuz I’m not sure what to get !!! Thank you 🙏🔥

Good info! Tire size let's you fine tune it. I'd like to see you try a 26". Smaller tire also frees up more rwhp, due to less inertia.
@AllThingsBoost2 жыл бұрын
I hadn't ever considered it until I tossed in into the calculator on this video, I would also like to see the effects of a 26, effectively making it like I have 4.10s in the car.

Man I just installed 3.55” rear gears in my 2012 coyote 5.0. The transmission is giving me issues it won’t shift right. It’s a 6r80 6 speed automatic. Help!
@AllThingsBoost4 ай бұрын
You will need to talk to your tuner. The revolutions per mile, measured by the wheel speed sensors and output shaft speed sensor affect how the car knows when to shift, and needs to be adjusted to match the new rear gear ratio.

Where does it say on the rear axle your gear ratio? I have a 2014 mustang gt premium
@AllThingsBoostАй бұрын
It doesn't. There is a way to do it via counting driveshaft rotations per wheel rotations, but you'll have to google that. Or you could try a VIN search if it hasn't been modified to see what comes up for options

Was 3.73 much of a difference than stock 3.31? Previous owner installed aluminum flywheel and dual dusk clutch on my 2009 so not stalling out this heavy car from a stop is difficult. I just bought 3.73s getting them put in next Friday but im second guessing it since 4.10 would be nice for druving without boost. This car is currently a daily driver not a drag car though.
@AllThingsBoost Жыл бұрын
The 3.73s are a pretty big difference, I think you'll like them!

thanks man im thinking for my car about getting a 3.90 or 4.10 for mine im around 550 wheel i think, i havent had it on the dyno, got the basic bolt ons, cai pulley, exhaust tune. do u think 4.10 is too extreme? i mostly just do street driving but im on a 305/45/18 et street R
@AllThingsBoost2 жыл бұрын
Depends, for the drag strip, 4:10s will serve you well, hell I could probably benefit from going 4:10s to help get it out of the hole, but plug them into the calculator at your cruising speed and see if that's where you want to be at.
Daily driver? You probably want better mpg then revving to the moon at 3000k rpm going 75mph. I'd say highest I'd go personally is 4.10s. But try out the calculator and see what works for you at cruising speed.

@AllThingsBoost2 жыл бұрын
Probably 3.73s, but you know your setup better than I do. Calculate your gear ratio like I did and see what makes sense. If you are an auto I'm not sure, I don't have any experience there with gear ratios.

Gears have less of an effect once your moving unless you are going for a speed run where they limit you. Just choose an appropriate speed and trans gear to start in that puts you in your powerband.

Heard ice tanks are only good for like 2/10s when you're in the 10s. Don't forget 7.5 gallons of water weighs 63lbs!

@AllThingsBoost2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the goal. Street car and cruiser? I'd stick with the 3.31s. Race car? 4.10s. Want to feel a little more pep but not lose all fuel economy? 3.73s. There is not a one size fits all, but the 3.73 in my opinion is the most versatile.
