It's always worth it at the end of the day to build a bank for double what you plan to run. Because most of us will upgrade at the end of the day and also to have a ton of headroom will never hurt you. I have 190ah cmax that holds 2 salt8s at .3ohm with almost no voltage drop at full tilt. Single 300a alt.

How about using lithium-ion cells 18650 or 21700 12volts 30ah 3s6p for a small 4channel 400watts with kicker sub 6.75” 150watts max output 2ohms and a pair of mid-range and tweeter with drivers? Planning to diy 2.1 boombox

when I talked to Coventry at slam they told me 45ah cmax took a 17k burp and for the longest I ran 2 12k on a 90ah but with 2 370 alts with maybe only .3 volt drop

I’m running 2 400 mechman at 15.6v on a 90ah eh5 bank. With 2 crescendo 17ks I barely get any voltage drop either.

Yep. I have a cyber 12k. Great upgrade from agm, but I'm only running 6000 +- total, and am certain it couldn't handle 12k very well. Cmax next.

I've been thinking about doing a battery delete and going with the cyber 12k in my maxima. I have a 390 amp alternator and using a taramps md 8k. I think it might work out pretty well...... Or should I keep the yellow too under the hood?

@keithmagnifico4164 I was going to do the same battery delete), but my installer recommended I keep my XS D4900 as main battery, and installed an isolator. With 5k amp to bass and 250Wx4 to mids and highs (at 2 ohm 2 pairs of mids/highs front and rear actually 390x4) that's substantially less than 12k and I still occasionally drop as low as 12.8 volts. Hovers in the 13- low 14 range when I have it cranked. So, AGM, Cyber 12K And an XS 500 farad lithium ultracap...still drop into high 12s with 320 amp alternator. I'd ditch limitless and try to pin down cmax, or some of those other types recommended in this video.

Did you install a battery isolator or was you able to run everything together? See I'm new to the lithium technology and all I see is you can't run lithium with other batteries like AGM. I was looking at 1 of those D4S JP40 and you can't run those with any other battery so then I was thinking about getting a couple of those D4S LTO 6's but it looks like people tend to resale them. IMO that means there not that great plus there pretty pricey for what they are. Just looking for some advice.

@Tony Foley no I do not have a Isolator. You can mix lithium and agm. It depends on the type of Lithium that is used. Limitless and the d4s look 6.0 can be used with agm. But the Jp 40 and some others you cannot mix with different Lithium or Agm batteries. When looking at purchasing Lithium check in the descriptions to see. It should tell you if it can be used together or not.

@@tonyfoley9988 it depends on resting voltages, regular batteries rest low like 12,6 - 13,0, LTO batteries rest higher so the LTO is constantly exchanging current with the regular battery depleting it. Lifepo4 rests lower at like 13 depending on the cells used and can be put with agms

Not only heat but you also have what the vehicle needs amperage wise. 400 amp alternator isn't so big factoring in that.

I got a 64ah headway bank and a 300a alt. I have a xs power d3400 agm to start the car tho, and the headway on a isolator so the agm don't put a drain on it. I got a taramps smart bass 5k. And it seems like a perfect match. But if I get a 8k I'll deff need more lithium. Maybe it'd do better without the agm and add a super cap instead? But I don't think more than 5k should be used for a 64ah bank. Atleast in my configuration.

I hate the budget bass heads group and there all about skar. They think skar will outperform anything at a quarter cost when I know that ain't true from experience. DD is a whole other level from skar especially in the resale market lol. I want to try a new chemistry just dunno what yet. Ill be adding power for dd m4b upping from a JP23v2.

I have a 22 sierra and fit DD 3510s firing forward with 4" aeros at each door. Sounds f-ing amazing with real THUMP. Nothing like the svr or evl 10s or (4)zvx 8s. Like I said I been there and can't get good stuff on the cheap lmao
