I’ve used the same SW tank bag on three bikes for eight years and over 180 000 kilometers, from the tundra of Canada to Central America. It worked perfectly . . . still does.

A real testament to quality. Thanks for sharing, we're glad your bag has served you well for so many years.

I've had the same SW bag (branded as Suzuki) on both my Vstroms 650 and new 1000. Fabulous bag which is electrified, secure, hard to steal and doubles as an over shoulder carry all. I've had it 4 years, in all weathers and it still looks great.

BlueMarbleRider how is it hard to steal? The one thing putting me off buying one is that anyone can pull the lanyard & walk off with it, or am I missing some security feature?
@BlueMarbleRider6 жыл бұрын
When compared to a magnetic tank bag, it's not easy for the uninformed to find and pull the lanyard. I lock my helmet to my handlebar with a leader which I run through the bag and the electronics hole at the front. You'd have to cut the bag off. Most thieves won't take something if it takes more than a few seconds to remove it.

BlueMarbleRider good idea... Thanks.

Hi, can you make a recommendation for a HD Pan America please ?
@Baer19906 жыл бұрын
you didn't show how you remove the givi from the bike. I know how it works but if you have a flat tank, can you reach for the lever easily?
@PerfectStranger12 жыл бұрын
Ah! Problem is how to fix that ring to the XRV Africa Twin which does not have any screws on the tank cap or on the tank itself around the tank cap area. The solution is to use a tank cover from Bagster (and the tabs system).

Very nice explanation! Thanks for the video!

This givi model has a design flaw. I have bmw gsa and baught givi xs308 as demonstrated on the video. However emergency stop button hits the tank bag when you steer handle bar to the right

Thanks for the feedback. That's a pretty large tankbag for the peaked tank on the GS. Unfortunately, the 15L XS307 isn't a lot narrower.

I have 2 Givi bags (big and small) that work across a Ducati 900SS, a Ducati ST4s and a BMW R NineT. Works well but is a "flimsier" clip than the Motech.

I just returned my GIVI for the SW motech

I ve used GIvi quick lock bags with great success. I like their application better than "pull-string" SW Motech design. The only disadvantage for me is that Givi does not offer a tail mount, so I am just fabbing one by myself. Bummer. Givi, you should think about it.

Now exist a tail lock :)

@@Francesco0800 Oh boy. Old post. Three years later! LOL. Still not what I wanted. I don't like using straps. So, I ended up just threading mounting holes right into my rack and screwing gas tank adapter in there. Been working like a charm for three years now. GIVI, keep thinking further.

Does it work with Ram Mount?

Which one do you prefer? I have the Givi Givi ST605B but i was thinking about selling to buy the SW-Motech EVO Micro or Evo Daypack due to the different positions it offers. On my KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, the handlebars touch (and force a little) the one from Givi, but the truth is that it is not something that you have to do frequently (turn all the way the handlebar). Other little thing i like in the Givi, is the sunglasses proper compartment but this is something we can do also with the SW-Motech using an original sunglasses case. The models i refer from SW-Motech has also another advantage (or it seems to me): They are not so "suitcases"; seems more discreat and easy to transport on the hand/shoulder. I really don't know what to do. Thanks

Twisted Throttle sells both Sw Motech and Givi tank bags. We hope you found this video informative enough to help you make a decision.
