Quick and clean and great information. Remember that tongue weight will cause a little vehicle sag and you may have to allow for that, raising the hitch a notch, to maintain the level trailer when connected.

Easy enough! Thanks for a short and concise video on how to choose the right hitch. Should take five minutes or less to do this.

Exactly the info I was looking for tonight and BW happens to post a video on this. Nice! Now I know what size hitch to buy for my Duramax. Thanks BW!

Have to accommodate for squat.....that's what I screwed up and ended up paying like 500$ for to buy another hitch till the returned one got accepted. If your lifted just always buy the 9 inch

Hitch worked great for years now I’m getting a lot of slop where the ball rotates. Enough you can hear it while braking or hitting bumps.

At 1:24, he says to measure to the BOTTOM of the receiver tube but it looks to me that he is measuring to the TOP of the tube. Just trying to figure out which one I need. Thanks!!!
@BWTrailerHitches4 жыл бұрын
It is a bit confusing how it's stated in the video. You'll measure to the bottom of the opening at the top of the receiver.

@@BWTrailerHitches Makes sense now. I just wanted to make sure I was measuring like I should be. Thanks!!!

What locking pin does B&W recommend?

B&W, love your brand! Do you guys make or are you currently working on a dampened hitch? Anything shock absorbing?

Thanks for this great advice. I’m ordering a 23 Tahoe lt but can’t find the receiver height anywhere. Any suggestions?
@BWTrailerHitches Жыл бұрын
On stock height vehicles, we find that a 3" or 5" drop on our Tow & Stow works well. However, because each truck and trailer combination is unique, we recommend taking these measurements when you receive the vehicle, just to ensure you get the correct drop for your specific truck and trailer setup.

@@BWTrailerHitches Thank you. Yes I will, but I did some research and measuring today, and I think I can readjust my hitch enough for it to work. I appreciate your comment.

I would think that you should add a very critical 4th item, the weight of the trailer. Make sure your ballmount and ball are capable of carrying the weight of your trailer and contents. Some 2 balls are rated at 10,000 lbs. BW 2" ball is rated at 7.500 lbs.

Just ordered my hitch, do you guys know what size the holes are that the cotter pins go thru? Thinking my 5/32 lockout lockable wire might work. Thanks!!

why would anyone measure a hitch like a TV?
@matthewschuettpelz61162 жыл бұрын
What is funny, is I watched 2 videos, one was a 1" drop. and this video is a 7" drop. But no one said what to, as Most hitches are solid and rise or drop in 2" increments. so you do sit high or go lower. verse these specialty way expensive hitches.

Great vid considering that hitch for my 16 3500 Ram DRW 4X4. I tow a 21ft boat w/ double axels and a car trailer for my sons 240sx.. what would you recommend?
@BWTrailerHitches4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jackson, it would depend on the drop required for both trailers and the receiver size on your truck. You can visit our website to choose between our different options to find the model that would work best for you: www.bwtrailerhitches.com/bumper-towing

what hitch is that the 7 or 8.5 drop
@BWTrailerHitchesАй бұрын
We can confirm that this should be a 2.5" shank, 7" drop, tri-ball Tow & Stow (Model #: TS20049B).

Is it safe to use only one pin on the lowest setting tow a utility trailer, Ball remains aligned with one pin on top but the bottom pin hole is going to low for the hitch pin section?
@BWTrailerHitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex - We recommend towing with both pins in place.
