Never tried Green Gas only CO2 and what I can say is that CO2 canisters while it may get tedious having to put a new one in every 2-4 magazines or more it does give you power with over 400 FPS on average. My 12 gram CO2 cartridges from Umarex give me about on average 120 decent shots .
@keebasg. Жыл бұрын
yeah i used c02 on a cz75 with 15shot magazin and a swissarmy cartridges can be use for at least 100shot and then for the last 20 you can see a big difference , lower power reload gun fail
@dbzcollector99637 ай бұрын
@@keebasg. really depends on the gun too some use more gas than others cause they have a heavier slide or they have a drop free mag with the capsule attached. I can get over 130 shots from a gun with the cartridge in the grip but only like 70-90 if the cartridge is in the magazine and that’s with blowback you could probably get a lot more out of a non blow back one but the whole point of going co2 is for the kick so it kinda defeats the purpose unless you just want the higher fps.

it is impirtant to mention safety issues of green gas. there are three main concerns: 1) you are carying a gas tank on you, it is a flamable and highly fragile thing, there is a chance of hitting the gas can on a rock while falling on your side or running through debris, which may cause it to explode. 2) storing mags filled with gas. they sometimes leak and you have flamable gas collecting on the floor in your garage. 3) shootig it next to a guy who smokes or even a guy with an AEG fhat makes a spark on a trigger groop may cause a fireball right in front of your face on the other hand you will never brake a co2 can, mags are stored empty ang the co2 is never flamable

Wish I documented myself more before opting for CO2. I broke 2 magazines of a 1911 and the valve (I think) of another revolver because of CO2. And with the 2nd magazine, I was careful, but after screwing/unscrewing the cap multiple times, it still got damaged, and started to release CO2 around the cap. Green gas seems a much better choice, even with the lesser power. Fun thing: the CO2 is indeed quite powerful, and I was very curious about how much it hurts. So I took a rather thin blanket, folded in 4, and shot myself through it in my leg (in the thigh, to be precise). It hurt pretty badly, even with the blanket, I was laughing and swearing at the same time for about 10 minutes. Got a bruise 10cm in diameter, lol.

I prefer to use a pistol that can use both. We Tech G Series although you have a few Hoops to jump through to get into North America can use both and so can their Desert Eagle. Another good example is the ASG CZ po9 which some considered to be the best gas blowback pistol ever. You just got to buy a mags fir green gas and co2. Basically when it's warmer use green gas when colder use CO2. If you use propane be sure to make some silicone oil with it. Some adapters have a reservoir for that purpose. Alternatively to CO2 you can hpa tap your green gas mags and run them that way although it does slow your reloading by a little bit yo cuz you got to remove the hose from the mag then drop the mag and put another one in and then reattach the hose.

Great video as always! I cannot stand using Co2. The capsules are a pain, I can’t top them off like propane, they’re way more expensive than propane, I don’t get to choose what power I can have, example: if it gets too cold for propane I can go buy MAPP gas. plus I hate having high FPS on pistols cause I like to use them as close as I can to the enemy, therefore I like having that ~300 FPS range. To me having that high FPS defeats the purpose of using a handgun in the first place; something to use really close up in case my rifle goes down or I need to switch to an overall smaller gun; overall making the experience not as painful for the enemy players. Plus it ensures I don’t have to have an MED with it should there be an MED rule at my local fields.

After several ours of watching vids etc I kinda find myself on CO2 6mm pistol. I think it is the safest and best choice, my kid and I could use the gun with less worries of fucking up and putting a 4,5 mm round in the flesh whilst training handling and target practice. Weather: If cold most of the time, go for the co2, if it's hot - Green Gas. If it's winter - props for enthusiasm, but even AEG/HPA gonna struggle. Availability: CO2 - literally everywhere. Green Gas - airsoft stores only, but can be substituted with propane+silicone oil if getting those is easier. Maintenance: CO2 - Don't leave the capsule in the mag for long time. Check O-rings and don't let them dry out. Rapid fire will put strain on a system. Green Gas - Don't leave your mag empty, keep it charged with gas. Check O-rings and maintain mags. Overall - clean it, check for strain/damage. It's easier to replace a part or two, than buy new mag/gun entirely... Sidenote: for heavier Green Gas Replicas (Rifles/Full Steel kits/e.t.c) you might want to get Black Gas (meaner, more powerfull version of Green Gas) like WE 4X/Nuprol 4.0 or Guarder Power Up. Do keep in mind, it's will increase wear and tear so maintain it properly, or don't use it if your gas gun runs good enough on Green Gas... (or made by TM, plastic-fantastic will break after one or two mags of it shot through...)

I’ve had a green gas gun for a while now and I really do like it but, it’s very inconsistent during the fall and early spring. A good c02 gun will run year-round and will be very consistent. I would actually recommend buying a c02 gun instead of green gas just because it is more consistent and c02 mags will last way longer than green gas. C02 canister thingys are available at pretty well any Canadian tire, where as green gas is not (propane is but it’s not green gas)

I say co2 or propane or HPA, just dont put silicone in your gas. As when you shoot it, oil gets on your hop up bucking and then the rubber wont grip the bb right and makes your shots go haywire. (Most people probably dont clean their guns after every event)

Hey bud just a friendly suggestion and that the costumers service at Toronto air soft is poor and frustrating in order to have a good relation with your costumers you need to work on your costumer service as well as price match the product according to other airsoft store across the country

For green gas, does it last about as long as 1 mag or does it last longer? Do you have to refill the mags every game, or about every 2-3?

I mostly only do target practice and collecting meant so I'll go with Co2 since I don't want a flammable propellant in my kitchen sounds dangerous and that power drop off is disappointing. I don't do BB game as well so Co2 guns or Electric for me. Spring when I'm low on money.

What if i live in a country with an average of 25 Celsius degrees. What should i pick? (I am thinking of buying the norvitsch SSP1)
@IronPhysik4 жыл бұрын
with novritsch (OEMed by KJW) you can easily go CO2 and have a overall more reliable system. KJW are build to not break under CO2 with stronger parts than other guns. this is especially good for nations with colder climate like in Europe. 25°C average though seems to be warmer, so you are fine with greengas most of the year, I would advice to maybe get some CO2 mags for winter if you are really strugling in colder months. on 1 12g CO2 flask the KJW pistols can empty around 3-4 magazine loads of BBs easily, even in the cold while with greengas you start to struggle after around 20-25 rounds with a full mag (1 mag has 25+ rounds on the SSP-1) maybe get one of each and see what you like more :) its really down to preference. I for example started of with a greengas M1911 from G&G and figured that it really struggles in the colder months here in germany, so I decided to get a KJW KP-07 Pro (M1911 MEU) in CO2 and upgrade that a ton to even use this gun as primary in CQB fields the KJW pro series comes upgraded with steel parts and a stronger nozzle to hold the higher pressure of CO2.

Watching this, there's really no reason not to have both if you are going to have more than one pistol... Since you're not buying a bunch of extra stuff for either system anyway. Unlike, my main hobby which is FPV drones, say if you are trying to decide yo go digital or analog, since that is a much bigger commitment. I just bought my first airsoft gun, a green gas Glock 19. I feel I should've bought C02 because it does get cold where I live. That said, I mainly bought it a training tool as an alternative to shooting 9mm since I can't always shoot 9mm and ammo is very hard to come buy these days.

Some guns can actually run both like the we tech g series. It's basically an unlicensed Glock but please do keep in mind that if you live in North America and want one you're going to have to make sure that you buy it off of crown airsoft and make sure that they send it in such a way that it won't get seized by customs because glock has gone out of their way to sue everyone that makes anything that looks like one of their pistols without their permission. You should either get the g17 or g19. The 18c is notorious for breaking because of the shitty loading nozzle.

Co2 with a co2 refill cartridge so you can run green gas through your co2 pistol that way you just have to buy a refill cartridge and you can top up the cartridge instead of waisting

Buy a pistol that supports both, use green gas mags during summer and co2 mags during winter that way your pistol internals will not be that damaged if you used co2 mag all the time instead. Also your gun will be field legal with co2 mag during winter because the co2 mag power drops a bit during winter making it field legal, having pistol with just green gas in my opinion is not a good investment I did that mistake and none of my pistol worked during winter even if I used the gas for cold weather it just did not work, it only maybe works if your gun is mostly made out of plastic like the Tokyo Marui pistols.

CO2 ftw.. If you use co2 use a stiffer recoil spring. Stress caused by blowback effect is way greater than the slide slapping back. Stiffer recoil spring will reduce much of the recoil. Damaged seal is usually caused by drying out of silicone oil. If you are lazy with green gas you will have all the oil inside of barrel etc and you will need to clean it as well anyway. Just clean and lubricate it every time after a game whether you use co2 or green gas. Last important point : weather and fps limit. If you live in places with warm weather I suggest green gas, cold weather co2. If temperature goes down to 10 degree celcius, green gas is fucked up. You should worry about fps limit of your field but you can find on youtube about changing fps of co2 guns.

I have bought 4 gas pistols and I either resold them or threw them away. Now I'm settled on co2 pistols. Using guarder glock with reinforced BBU, normal lower and 150% recoil spring.

@@borkly2491 I'm an experienced springsofter. As kids, we play Airsoft with spring pistols (also sniper rifles and shotguns) and somehow I think I've developed a sense or an ability to predict where the bb will hit even if there's wind. It sounds like CO2 is better at everything except it shoots too hard? I get 200 from a non-blowback .177 CO2 pistol shooting 3J and I can get 400+ if I change the hammer/slamming barrel spring.
