Macro is just #showtooltip /cast Fire Blast /cast Portal And that should trigger both the arcane and fire section of your DC in one global.

Is there a specific reason to use portal instead of arcane explosion? AE just seems better to me because it's instant

@@lmartyI Guess I should put context in the comment, this triggers it in the same global as fireblast with no negative. So its a free trigger off the gcd for arcane. We don't actually have a portal spell, it just triggers something in the files.

Thanks for the vid! For me it just feels a bit overwhelming atm, trying the right build for M+, Tyranicall / Fortified. Just gonna stick with cold front for a while. So much dps depends on having icy veins up. Its actually makes or brakes your run. Knowing when to pop it. Nothing is more frustrating than having adds melting in front of you by hunters ,war, locks. And watching your Icy Veins drop off with 1,5 min. left on CD. Ughhhh

Been watching your videos for a while now man! 3k+ io Mage here (Arwwen - Mal'ganis). If you've also been a long time mage main, you can understand how hard it is to accept no longer being the top dogs in m+ overall haha. It's frustrating always coming in 3rd on overall behind Survival Hunters and Destro/Demonology Locks but is that just how it is nowadays in current wow? No matter how well I play or how hard i pump? Another question, I saw a video of you getting like 19k overall running SD with NF/Freezing Winds....I can't get close to those numbers overall by end running your suggestion of Cold Front...would you possibly recommend Freezing Wind NF up to 22 keys in all dungeons??

Freezing winds has timed at least a 26 on most every dungeon, you are totally fine to run that as your sole legendary.

@@Manather I would be very curious myself how it would hold up on fort week esp. in DOS/HOA. I've heard it doesn't work in NW second half inside the necropolis. I would be interested in a follow up video if you decide to test it, even if the entire video is just you trashing on how horrible it turned out after all. I am too inept and smooth brained to handle DC build, so alternatives for the skill-challenged players in +20 keys like myself would be helpful lmao

in tyr it's obvious not that good. I play it with night fae on fortified weeks. dmg is fine and huge mobility. on tyr weeks I would go freezing winds for more single target dmg. but keep in mind the highest key level I play is 20. I'm not pushing higher because no ingame rewards

manather u are my fav mage. but my english is not the best. can u tell me if +15-18 keys are ok if i play still nightfae and freezing winds? and it would be so cool if you would give raid single target tips for each bosses in new raid :)

Yes that is a good build for 15-18 keys. I've ended up having a decent amount of raid videos posted on my channel which I've mentioned important things for them but that would be audio english.

You hit 12-18k dps if you use your rotation correctly. Keep in mind that shifting power drops a free haster buff on the floor, don't use it together with icy veins. It's like bloodlusting with Vy. Use shifting when icy is about to expire, not when it has expired because the channel time reduces with the extra haste you have with icy veins.

What are your thoughts on SKB Fire? For the past few weeks I’ve been running slick ice/cold front frost but I haven’t been able to really make it work. I started running SKB Fire and it’s actually been really fun especially when combust lines up with URH CDR.

For fort I do really like playing freezing winds. The most common thing for mists at the moment is playing slick ice through the first boss then teleporting out and changing to cold front.

Do you think it's a good idea to craft legendaries on this slot as a frost mage : Cold Front (Back) + Convenant Necrolord (Chest) for MM+ Slick Ice (Belt) + Convenant Necrolord (Chest) for Raid The chest seems like a weak piece in the set (bad stat for frost), the glove aren't that great too.

What cody said, nf. It pairs better with freezing winds generally. But if you like necro feel free to play it, they have upsides and downsides each. NF is just better in general for that build.

@@Manather is the decision to use shifting power based on any if/then scenarios or is it personal preference? IE - Channeling it in between freezing wind procs and cancelling before third stack of fingers of frost? vs. Using it on second rune of power and orb is gone? I guess my biggest unknown is do I channel it towards the start where there is more mobs? Or do I wait but then risk the destro/surv person obliterating half the pack by the time my orb is faded?

@@The_GlassCannon Thats the exact difference between the two. Its better to use with you second rune in terms of dps. But if they die too early then you get no use out of it.

@@The_GlassCannon if you run freezing winds: precast frostbold(optional)icy veins>orb>blizz>shatter comet storm from 2p>full shifting power into another orb and so on the playstyle hasnt changed since 9.1 for nf except for shattering your 2p if you run splitting ice - never, and i repeat NEVER let shifting power channel its whole duration(aoe and bosses does not matter)just get the blossom haste buff (with freezing rain you also don't channel fully on bosses but just 1 tick)

As I said, its good to try this out for yourself, but yes you will likely find cold front performing worse below that key level for a multitude of reasons.
