Holy Crap! What a random surprise! So I've forgotten the Japanesse name version of the show. But man I haven't seen the english dubb in years. Kind of proves that the Cats would have made a great hack and slash, beat'em up side scroller.

The console versions are in limbo. The dlc is done, but may never come out.

Ikr. They got the funding for the dlc characters and just didn't fulfill it. Shame since the game is really good.

3:00 am on YTV (Canada) back then for me. I'm just glad I finally saw the rest of the episodes online, years later.

Hmm weird it's an arcade exclusive in this day and age 😅 hopefully it gets patch to the consoles and PC! Own it on the Switch myself.

As you said - Jitsu Squad is already on consoles. The whole point of an arcade release is to not only bring the action to the scene, but to give players who already have the game a reason to go out and play it. If there was zero difference, then chances are that no one would bother ;)

@@arcadeheroes_coinop True, as chances are other than adding the Pizza Cats as well as some characters as assists, this is pretty much going to be the same game, with no additional levels. Which makes no sense to make the Samurai Pizza Cats arcade exclusives. And given not all arcades are going to be able to afford this (and the fact that most people won't play arcade games unless it's one of those point/ticket redemption games that are seen in places like Chuck E. Cheese's and Dave and Buster's), the company behind Jitsu Squad made a bad deal, especially since this is basically putting what should be DLC on an arcade cabinet.

@@jeremyriley1238 The game has also been balanced and polished. As someone who has it on Switch and has played through it multiple times, the arcade version is faster, enemies are less "spongey" and the overall experience is better. On the SPC content, if you approach it from a console gamer mentality, it might not make sense, but from an arcade industry perspective it does. Every single time you put the same thing or better out onto consoles, the arcade version suffers. That means it makes less money, which makes less money for people who run arcades. You might think that arcades are ghost towns, but there are 10s of thousands of locations out there all over the planet, with new ones opening all the time. If you want to see games like this become more prevalent than ticket games, then they have to do things that make them more enticing. People play redemption because of potential prizes yes, but also those are always something you can't play/get at home. Video games have to do a similar thing, otherwise they get ignored. There are thousands of exA carts that have sold out there, so chances of finding one are getting better all the time.
