Piękno muzyki Fryderyka Chopina to fenomen graniczący z cudem.

WOW! What a sensitive performance of a work by Chopin that deserves to be heard more than it is! The opening theme sounded exquisite, and the thirty-second notes near the end were like gossamer wings! Bravo!

You ask me, this young (now old) man is the finest classical pianist ever recorded
@ericastier16469 ай бұрын
I never got that. I disagree. I find him very classical to a bore. I could name 10-20 pianists i like better. His rubato are = fail.

Can you name them?@@ericastier1646

@@ericastier1646 what?? He is WITHOUT a doubt the best pianist ever recorded, better than Rachmaninov himself because he was old at the time. Who can you name better than him? Let me guess...Horowitz? Lang Lang? Arguerich? Lol. If you have a true understanding of romantic music you can only say he is the best. The only one who can possibly compare is Richter. Or maybe Pollini too. I don't think Rubinstein can.
@ericastier16468 ай бұрын
@@timlaze5836 You are disillusioned. He is not even in the top 20. Also do not make blackmail one leg stand statements like " if you have a true... then you must only say..". This is infantile and bogus. It seems you know all the worst pianists if you asked me who is worse, him, horrowitz, lang lang, they are all terrible pianists. Lol, also Rubinstein is an imposter pushed by his clique who owned the producing companies and venues. Pollini was a machine. Richter is an average pianist with questionable musicality. But yeah it is easy to name 20 better than these : Rachmaninov, Sofrinistizky, Koczalski, Cortot, Cziffra, Busoni, Tatianna Nikolayeva, Maria Joao Pires, Samson François, Yuja Wang, A.B Michelangeli, Lisitsa, Marcelle Meyer, Glenn Gould, Yundi Li, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Aldo Ciccolini, Alicia de Larrocha, W. Berezovsky, Jorg Demus.

This artist is, for me, an inspiration, in my thoughts about my own playing and to my students. It just doesn't get any better in terms of taste, technique, sound, tone, and - not least - grace. In every aspect of the repertoire he brings something extraordinary, and actually there are few pianists who embrace the breadth of the repertoire so masterfully - I think the only other person is Maurizio Pollini. Incredibly - since I have heard just about everybody else - I have never had the opportunity to hear Zimerman live in performance, and I look forward fervently to that privilege. I do, however, know a wonderful master technician in Hamburg called Paul Winistzki (forgive my spelling) who has worked with him and is a close friend. From this, I have begun - late in the day - to realise how important it is for pianists to understand more deeply about what instruments they are playing. I think many of us have very little idea, and it strikes me as slightly ridiculous; although perhaps it has something to do with not wanting to know; deliberately to retain some sort of mystique... After all, most us have to turn up and play on just about anything!

Ashkenazy embraced the breadth of the repertoire even more masterfully than even Pollini.

Many if not msot of Zimerman’s interpretations are better than Rubinstein’s. Zimerman has much better technique and spends much more time perfecting each piece.
