The first movement is meant to make the listener understand the melody and to follow it when eventually the Doppio Movimento comes, as it's a bit complex for the unexperienced ear and some important bits might be harder to catch and understand, the second movement delicate and slow, slowly builds up both in speed and volume, and is a great prelude to the 3rd movement which Chopin left for last intentionally as a desert, but instead of being sweet, it's a true soul crasher and makes you relive sad memories you though you removed long time ago.

4:16 is great, definitely... but for me the most goosebumpy moment is that gorgeous chord at 5:30. When I listened to it for the first time, I expected a different resolution, and I went like „boaaaaahhh“. I still feel like that after about 1000 times of listening. My favorite nocturne. And yes, I also do this vibrato thing sometimes, for maximum expression, and then I realize it’s not my cello ... haha Well, with Chopin, weird things happen.

This is very well played!!! I have heard many interpretations of this piece but most times it is played too fast und many passages are played exaggeratedly loud, so that the,, main climax " looses its effect. It's such a beautiful song. I also played it this time, and it's as difficult as it's beautiful. it's a great performance.👍

Yes, Martha did it before (in a different piece). There's a video somewhere. And some schools teach it.

It doesn’t do anything but still cool to do when you are playing idk it’s just fun I guess there is a keyboard I think it’s called ROLI blocks where you can actually vibrato but it’s like 300 for like and octave or two
