Strangely enough, when The Nocturnes are played well... I see visions in my mind of the salons (rooms) in which they might have first been played. I see the ladies' dress. I smell the candles and the leftover food and wine still in the air. I think Chopin learned some kind of secret of how to create pictures of things. And then transmit those pictures into sound/music. A few other composers can do this to varying degrees, but not like Chopin.

The best performance i've heard so far (subjectively ofc). The first run was probably the smothest and most precise one of all performances that i have encountered.

I enjoy listening to J.L’s interpretation and performance of this piece. Handsome guy with talented mind, and gifted hands.
