I start by giving some explanation and maybe will shed a different light on this piece for the listener to enjoy this sonata more as well as sharing what are for me some significant and impactful moments in this piece.
About Laurent Boukobza:
A Parisian native, he is a prize winner of many international competitions including First Prize in Piano from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris. A recording artist with many CDs, Laurent tours widely in Europe, the Americas, and the Far East.
His teachers included Catherine Collard, Germaine Mounier, Yvonne Loriod and Michel Beroff. Laurent has been organizing his own International Music Camps in Europe every year in July. More details at www.LBMusicCamp.com.
Laurent Boukobza has performed in Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Romania, Singapore, Taiwnan. Poland and the United States.
In the process of recording the complete cycle of all 32 Beethoven Piano Sonatas, the CDs, which have been endorsed by a major world renowned label, should be released in end of 2023!

Vraiment géniale cette série. A voir et à revoir surtout, à écouter et à réécouter. J’ai tout aimé, le format, les explications qui donnent l’eau à la bouche et l’envie de réécouter à la suite, l’attente du nouvel épisode comme un rendez-vous. Et l’interprétation évidemment ! Vraiment je voudrais bien être critique mais je ne trouve rien à dire. C’est un jeu qui va à l’essentiel (l’essence oserais-je) de la musique, la beauté est brute, il n’y a pas d’exagération dans le propos. (Il n’y a rien qui m’exaspère plus que la sur-interprétation, un peu comme si, dans un livre, on écrivait la partie importante d’une phrase en lettre capitale, ce serait pénible non ? ) Et pourtant il ne manque rien, ni nuances, ni émotion, si personnalité. Vraiment, quelle élégance ! Un grand merci pour ces partages. A la semaine prochaine !
