Translation here. Enjoy....💖 Though Cateen is always humble and reserved, he tweeted “Please come and watch this premiere!” passionately for the first time. Thinking of the possibilities what he could do with his extreme talent, I was somehow thrilled and scared to be there on time and watched his performance. As he said “I tried my best that I felt I could die. I put everything. This is going to be a long(chou長) and tremendous(chou超) work.” , .... this was so overwhelming that I couldn’t help crying bucket, couldn’t get to sleep till 3am, and it took me days to get down to write a comment here. This was that shocking. Not to mention the stability of his musicianship/skills, you see that even the way he lift his fingers from the keys are elegant and powerful. He is such a beautiful pianist who can express not only agony and romance, but also joy of music, breaking in smile like a child, expressing with his whole body. Not like live concerts, edited footage is entertaining to our eyes:high definition, detail edited movie enhanced with vignettes like those good old Disney films. Tom and Jerry are cute, and the silhouette shadow part is so fun: The conductor started dancing, the little Cateen playing the piano…so cute! He has such a colorful talent that successfully appeal to all audience, to every possible direction by adding Tictok-ish essence to this “true” classic tune. What a “Disneyland”… And then the Cadenza….!!!!!! You know this tune is hard enough to play with help of sheet music…..Who could ever played this super difficult tune by ultimate transcendental skill with such vibrance!? He played this through to the end, impromptu, with fully vibrant Cateen color, for as long as 5 min. !!!! I think this made the world know who Hayato Sumino is. This will be recognized and played years to come as “THE Hungarian rhapsody” all over the world. I am grateful with my whole being, for him: Hayato Sumino who he is, got to be born and live in this era , watching, listening, to be there live, to cheer and to support him! Thank you so much💖

The cadenza sounds like 'Liszt upgraded for 21st century" - I didn't know it was possible until Cateen did it... Outstanding!!! Simply God Tier level performance!
This man is a genius. Not only can one play classical music to the highest degree, but compose and improvise with such understanding and virtuosity! The syncopation reference to "Entrance of the Gladiators", editing with Tom and Jerry, and even more just add amazing layers. I love the way you incorporated jazz with classical.
I haven’t heard such a monumental performance of this piece with original cadenza since hearing Marc Andre Hamelin’s. Absolutely Incredible.

I am a great admirer of Hamelin's HR2 cadenza, and you have just said what I want to say.

What is a cadenza?
@nelsonyoung88492 жыл бұрын
@@JitinMisra A cadenza is a solo passage in a piece. In the case of Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2, Liszt invites the performer to improvise or arrange a cadenza after Friska
I fail to find the words adequate enough to describe this performance. Bloody amazing. The cadenza has so much of Cateen's originality and style in it, but yet it still ties with the rest of the piece so closely. Speechless. This has to be one of the best ever performances of the piece.

this is just an amazing performance so much emotion and just wonderful technique could not of asked for a better performance of the legendary Hungarian Rhapsody No.2

Wow! The final cadenza is so satisfying. The same feeling when I found a great cafe with awesome coffee, hidden at the end of a quiet alley. A true gem need no advertisement...
I love that you did to Liszt exactly what he did to many others: making their pieces your own.

What do you mean? Could you explain, please? :)
@discoghost61684 жыл бұрын
@@Iv4nyi Liszt made arrangements of the works of many other composers. Sometimes making them even more beautiful and sometimes simply senselessly complicating them. This is of course, a matter of taste. For instance, I find La Campanella (based on a Paganini Studio) way more beautiful in the Liszt's piano version than in its original violin / orchestra version. On the contrary, his version of Camille Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre is an unnecessary display of keyboard acrobatics that add nothing to the original. Like I said, that is a matter of taste but the fact is that Liszt recreated those pieces like the were written by himself... that's what I like about this version: yes, it's one of Liszt's greatest... but the second part feels like it belongs more to the pianist than to Liszt. ...and I love that :-)
This has to be the most UNREAL performance I've ever heard of any piece of music. I have to upgrade my imagination, by a lot, of what is possible for a pianist. Amazing composition skills and unbelieveble musicianship. In love
You’re really awsome. You made a masterpiece, it’s crazy and great🤩

I have no words to describe my emotions, during I heard this incredible performance. Dear Franz Liszt, I hope, you even felt like me, when you watched Cateens interpretation of your rhapsody No 2 first time in heaven above.

The coolest thing is that his facial expression changed within each version, and sometimes he smiled and looked really happy :)))) I love when the pianists put their souls in the music ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰
Cateen is something else, he is probably one of my favorite if not my favorite pianist, when you see him play you are inspired by the music and feel the color shifting.
