One more thing, he never cuts at 90°. There is no need to. A 90° cut was made by the saw. This is the way to cut wood. These were axes carried in the wilds because they were light. And easy to fix a new handle. Though these tools were treasured in the wilds, because it was needed everyday. Firewood was never 6" timber chopped to size. It was small branches gathered from dead trees. The hawk was the perfect tool.

Thank you for the video Brian, I agree that tomahawks are probably the most versatile and light weight cutting tool you can carry. I like them so much in fact that I couldn't resist purchasing one of yours to process kindling and to throw. I'm somewhat saddened that it would appear your videos have but a few views, the quality and craftsmanship of your work is outstanding.

stuck in a vase I thank you so much for your kind words, I too wish more people knew just how versatile a tomahawk is, Also I like the idea of a langet tomahawk and a normal tomahawk video, we have added that to our to do list, thank you.

In times gone by, the men would not buy crap they depended on. That is only today's manufacturers. Mass produced rubbish. In the past these axes were carried as a tool to survive with. They are a light axe made for trail work. It was easy to make replace a broken handle with a knife, or the head. They were used to cut green wood for camp building and cutting dry firewood. You do not split 6" logs for a fire. You cut dry branches for a camp fire. Big logs they used a saw. Right tool for the job! Nice to see a well made tool made by craftsmen. Well done sirs! I want one. Do you ship to the UK? I HOPE YOU DO!

Additionally if you have the time, upon my request, I would be very interested in seeing a video of your langet tomahawks in comparison to the standard hawks. Thanks!

Chopping with a tomahawk rocks! I once outcut a friend of mine because I had a hawk with a 30 inch handle and a custom grind I put on there and he had some standard 20 inch forest axe with a pretty sharp grind. I gifted him a hawk for his birthday and he has ever since used that in the woods. I also share your opinion on the hawk versitility, I would consider this the only contender for the one-tool-option.

Definitely if more people could experience what a tomahawk can do I think there would be a lot of surprised people as to how versatile (like you said) they really are.
