Thanks for the video love see these videos where you guys are struggling with mud and us farmers on the east coast of Australia are wishing for more rain! But as my great grandfather says there is money in mud, not dust

I'm surprised none of the tractors or the forage harvester are stuck, I can see why they're keeping the trucks off the field. In the words of the Road Hammers "Mud"

Here in Europe we can’t go with trucks in the fields, we are always with dump wagons which can contain between 10 to 25Tonnes which is around 20000Pounds to almost 50000pounds, and we can’t use trucks for hauling because the farms are to small and the silos are different they are MUCH smaller

The dump carts look very unstable when dumping into the truck. The dump is high, and off to one side. Are there counterweights on the cart that are not obvious?
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
Usually the cart have a loaded tire on the one side and the truck is a safety stop from the cart going over. The four wheeled dump wagons had a hydraulic cylinder that locked the frame.

Mike, you should have put the roller on the Versatile and shown them how to get it done, but then there won't have been any drama.

How come they always leave 10”-12” of stalk?
@farmhandmike2 жыл бұрын
There really isn't much for feed value in that part of the plant plus the risk of running lower and scooping up a rock.

Some dairy farms are going with the big baggers,they say after you figure equipment costs to push and pack the silage pits and then cover them,plus some waste feed off the top of the pits that they can justify the cost bagging. What’s your thoughts on this .😎
