George, it's been said before - your commentary is so fun and interesting to listen to. Your descriptions of why and all the exceptions and nuances, they really let us get into your head of how you came to do it that way. The Sept 1 time frame was something my Dad taught me as I got old enough to operate the machinery, still go by it for my lawn care.

You do a great job of explaining farming practices and equipment operations. It's why we continue to watch and support! It takes a lot of time and effort to produce and post. Know that many people enjoy and appreciate you!

Thanks for letting the people that are not aware about the acid and innoculant. To many people see a tank of any sort and think that some sort of toxic chemical is being used. Great video, and you have a gem of a chopper! Your family is pretty great, too!🤣🤣👍👍

I always enjoy riding inside with you and love the way your dad explains how he thinks. You guys are great! Also, I did see the Eagles and thank you for it. I think I have seen only one in our area which is logical because we live pretty close to the outskirts of town.

Wow, I really enjoy the smell of freshly cut grass. It truly excites my mind. I wonder how he will handle the grass after mowing.

I had never considered the need for a 2-1 wheel setup like that until now. Makes sense if the chopper is offset like that. 👍

Would have loved to see a 5020 pulling that chopper and wagon. That would take me back to the 70s when i got to work on a dairy farm in Amsterdam NY in my teens. No , unfortunately i didn't get to run it. 😢😢😢😢

Thanks for sharing the video. Really enjoyed riding with you George. You are a good farmer and you have a lot of knowledge for folks that don't know much about dairy farming. Hope to see another video soon.

One would think you have more cattle with the amount of feed that you put up. Love the hills! We could use some of them here in Winnebago County! Your days are always full. Thanks to you all for keeping the farm going!

Hands down one of the best videos you have made. Your dad explained how everything works and what he was doing. I’m about the same age as your dad and I still get excited when I see an eagle because you rarely seen them growing up but they have made a huge comeback. I always point them out but my 2 boys grew seeing them regularly so they don’t get as excited as I do 😊. Keep up the great work and Thank you for providing milk 🥛 for us to enjoy.

HI. The pesticide was known as DDT. It made the eggshells thin and prone to breaking during nesting. It is great to see them coming back. Greg B.

Nice looking GEHL chopper . Back when we used to dairy farm dad had a fox chopper with the hay/ straw head a one row corn head . An we constantly reached out the rods to adjust the spout a stuff. So. Even though we had a cab tractor with a/c . Was never use since we needed the back window open or taken off for the summer.

My family ran Fox choppers, too. Up until 1981. 2 row corn heads, and the pick up head. Last ran behind a 9600 Ford. They were a beastly team!
