This is pure dispensionalism, God ended the old covenant and created a new one in which the only way for any nation or people to be saved is through being borne from above. God does not owed any thing to the old nation of Israel, which it was a type of the new spiritual Israel. Christ as the second Adam is the true vine, the true Israel. If God promised anything to the old nation which God did. It Was fulfilled already not only giving them the Land which it was conditional if they obeyed. But He will deal with them if they disobeyed which they did. God had a remnant which belong to Him. Romans 9:6 Romanos 9:6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring Joshua 21:43 Thus the Lord gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there. 44 And the Lord gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the Lord had given all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.

Dispensationalism uses the Historical, Grammatical, Literal method of interpretation while also allowing for the use and understanding of Figures of Speech and symbolism that is almost 100% interpreted within the immediate context, the book's context, or the context of the Bible writ large.
