Tech Bat She said she's out here because it's "fun?" She's given birth to five children and has tossed them all aside for this life? She'd rather get high and live homeless for her own needs not even thinking about her kids. I have a lot of sympathy when some of these people have had real problems that they're escaping, but not when they're out there for "fun!" She said another way of life would totally bore her. That's inexcusable!

The way she carries herself reminds me of myself when I was addicted and on the streets. I kept to myself, used my street smarts, and paid attention to my surroundings. I really like her. I really hope she finds her way eventually. Until then, I'd love to hear more interviews with her. I could listen to her talk all day. She has some interesting and honest things to say and her voice is nice to listen to as well. I'll be keeping her in my prayers. 💓

So many commenting on her looks. There is what's called a "halo effect" where we treat and perceive people differently because of their attractiveness. Definitely feel bad for her. Heroin addiction is the most horrific thing to endure and the hardest to break free from. 5 children by 5 different fathers, living just to get your next fix, isn't living. I feel bad for the children most of all, a mother who is unable to be a mother, very sad. It would take a miracle for her to get off drugs. She apparently was off them in jail as she mentioned her weight gain but immediately went back after her release. It would take years of intensive therapy and treatment to try to get her to quit and to regain her life. We need better facilities for hardcore addicts

subcomandante marcos have you dealt with it? Have you had a sibling with an addiction? Unless you’ve dealt with it, it’s not something you’d get. People change from drugs. I’ve seen those I love become someone I couldn’t trust, someone who rejected help over and over and chose the fast life and their own addictions and selfish desires over all else. Try being there, and then see how it feels as you watch someone turn their back on those who love them. It’s not as simple as oh let’s let them have food and shelter even though they have an addiction; try dealing with the chaos and lies and betrayal that comes with those choices.

The lifestyle is a choice until it's not, and accepting that it's not is the central point of step #1. It still looks like a choice for this lady. She is smart, articulate, looks washed, has her teeth and presents herself well. She hasn't given up yet, on herself or the lifestyle. Still makes sound judgement calls, like working in the morning rather than at night. Because it's safer. And has the presence of mind to question whether or not that makes her a hypocrite, before deciding it doesn't really matter because she is managing the risk to herself. Everyone chooses what is for them and as long as they aren't hurting anyone else, no one should judge them. But this lady seems like she has the capacity to get more from life than she is now. I hope she does and is happy. :-)

I was sad when the interview was over.i love your stories. I can relate so much as well I have been clean now for a long time I'm not in the (life) anymore and I was lucky to get out sooner than later.My husband died and our son was taken away at 3, and adopted. I was devastated. It made me worse after I knew I couldn't get him back. i got out of the life and I could never do it again. Heroin adiction ruined my life and now Iv been on methadone alone for 5 to 6 years. I'm better now and I own my own home (a single wide trailer) and it's on my own land an acre and 1/2 .

Ive always had alot of respect for the girls who work in the sex industry and used to live in kings cross in Australia, there was a couple who i was friends with and i would always help them when i could , as i knew they work bloody hard for the $ and need to be treated with respect , one of the pretty ones i vaguely knew turned up murdered and beaten and it was very sad as she was just like everyone else with dreams and aspirations and i had a terrible traumatic experience also when i had to help this other girl who was shooting up into the corner of her eye and had dropped and the needle was still hanging from her face . I will always remember all this as i also ended up having drug issues and till this day like to help at a homeless shelter as it to me is my roots and i need to remember what its like so i dont go back . As a addict in recovery i have a funny pain threshold thing of seeming to remember the good times more than the bad but funnily i had more bad then good happen in active addiction. Stay safe . ♡
