For those who are frustrated by Maddie and Jarryl's lack of change despite the love and encouragement they receive, welcome to the tip of the addiction iceberg. Their families and friends have seen this behaviour for many years and have offered help. Most addicts do not ever recover from their condition; but a small percentage do. It usually takes incredibly bad circumstances to finally convince someone to change. I should know, I am an addict in recovery after 12 miserable years of self inflicted pain. I hope they do make a change but I won't be surprised if they don't.

totally agree! ps: im so proud of u for 12 years clean - i know how hard it is to obtain/maintain sobriety as well; I'm almost 5 years sober myself. addiction runs hard in my family & my oldest brother passed away on 9.15.18 to a fentonyl overdose.. my heart is forever broken knowing that he couldn't do the same & still b here with us. keep on keepin on man, u got this!

I totally get what you're saying, I really do. I myself relapsed after 9yrs sober, now I'm a year and a half sober again other than prescribed medication (that I dont even agree with but thts a whole other saga!) and all too often ppl definitely become a product of their environment. You have to have an iron will & guts of steel to get & stay clean but the irony is it takes a true warrior to survive this type of situation....if only these kinda ppl could see how strong they are having to be on a daily basis and tht it would all end if thy applied the same strength to getting sober, but it's just not that easy to see from the inside of an addiction. It's the most terrifying thing to do, but also one tht u wonder why u were ever so scared. I hope thy make it on thru one day. Peace all, nd respect to my fellow peeps here in recovery✌

I will say these videos changed my life. They are extremely educational. I wish the best to all of you who are fighting for your life back. For the mothers out their fight this disease for your children. At age 12, I was given hard drugs against my knowledge with heart problems. Without my phobia of hard drugs I could have been in you'll shoes. Mind control will save your lives. Life will never be easy live for the day and strive for recovery everyday. Watching Maddie and Jarryl is just so sad because of how young they are. I just love Maddie's personality, Jarryl is pretty cool too, they are both so charismatic. It's just such a deep dive into watching someone fall into addiction at such a young age and my heart hurts to think what they might look and behave like if you were to interview them five years from now. The drugs truly haven't taken a toll on their personalities or their behaviors yet, but it worries me that they will one day.😥

Thats where the money comes in for people, yet he has no ads on his videos. KZbin puts their ads before and after videos, but the ads throughout the videos tell you that the creator is getting money from the videos. Based off views alone, you don't make shit. But either way, his most popular videos are demonetized. Watch any other channel and whenever you hear them talk about the money they make from KZbin they laugh. People think it's such a lucrative business, but it's not. People create content because they enjoy it and have a passion for it. The extra couple dollars most creators make is just a bonus. You've gotta have some serious numbers to really make money off of KZbin, and even then it's not as much as most people think.

There is no doubt in my mind that, Tom already knows the answers to his questions. One thing , Tom isn’t, and that’s, naive! However, I do believe that, he likes to afford ppl the benefit of the doubt. It’s up to the person to show enough respect by being truthful. It’s just very sad seeing Maddie & Jarryl spiraling downward. Maddie definitely doesn’t look well, and I truly am worried about her. But, it appears that, she is getting frustrated w/ ppl inquiring about her future plans on going to her Dads. I really think, she knows that, she’s not ready to make that commitment...and would prefer to avoid having to address it; at least for now. In my opinion, the only thing, we can do, is continue to be supportive, and let her know, as well as, Jarryl that, ppl do care about their wellbeing. If by chance, they should really need anything, or decided to want help in getting clean...they surely know, that Tom has always been there for them, and has been nothing but a positive force in their lives. In addition, they also are aware of the positive feedback & support , they both have had from those on Tom’s channel. My thoughts & prayers are with them both. ❤️ Love & support are with them.

I totally agree. I am fascinated by these videos because I find this situation impossible to endure. I can literally see myself looking for somewhere to hang myself after about two days of this. I know taking drugs makes it more bearable for them, but I know all too well that drugs only make a bad situation worse. I was a drug addict and heavy drinker for 20 years since the age of 15. Getting clean and sober in 2006 helped me see how counterproductive that time actually was. The lives these people have on the streets, scrounging for money to eat, and boosting stuff to cash in for drugs would be too hard for me. I know it would.

I'm REALLY worried about Maddie more so, than the other girls. Mattie is typically your all around natural beauty and where it's gone is so concerning. She can restore her youth if she gets help sooner than later. But too much later, it will be too late, then it will be gone forever. Drug's LOVE destroying a pretty thing. They also LOVE destroying one's health aspect, and well-being. But to the victim, all that is okay for them... because they LOVE giving their victim enough SOLACE, where that doesn't matter. @@meep2576 It's difficult when you're in that situation. The power of drugs have such a hold on you , you tend to lose your ability to feel and care about your overall well-being. I know from personal experiences drugs will turn you into someone that you thought you would never be. It reduces your way of life to an animalistic life style. I've had several relapses through the years. I've been clean off crack over two years now. I haven't smoked weed over a year hadn't taken a drink in 19 days. Thank god for a very caring wife who never gave up on me when others told her too! And i didn't quit because I went to rehab. I just got tried of feeling stupid giving my money away and feeling disrespected and not going anywhere in life. I do still have thoughts of using I just don't feed into it.

Thomas Brinkley I’m glad your doing well, I was on drugs in the 80s and early 90s and moved to a hole other state to get away from it and don’t even want to look for it. Not saying it still pops in my head. It’s a life long fight but we can do it 💪💪💪

My prayers continue with you from one addict to another. I have struggled but by the grace managed to get treatment and keep my children and myself off the streets. Relapse and now back in treatment, on the days that are hard I look at my babies and gather all strength for them. You’re both worth it, your babies are worth it and your not a lost cause. Maddie, even if you choose the methadone program it will help you. All my love to you. Remember life is very short and you’re way isn’t working so just think about that when you say you’re not ready. Maybe take a chance and say I’m not ready but I’m going to try today. I say this with no judgement and love.

I seen the Petition online, first I seen a video from a lady talking about the petition so I looked it up. Then I went back to the ladies video and left her a nasty comment! For one how could you blame one man for the deaths of street girls who know the dangers themselves but still continue to choose to take the risk of being a working woman in the sex trade. 2nd if anyone has a problem with how Tom dose his life work in the streets then they themselves can do what he dose the way they think it should be done. 3rd, of course he makes money with a KZbin page but it’s not risk free, it’s his right to have a Chanel just like anyone else can have one. 4th some lady said she offered Tom help with counseling the girls but he denied. If she really wanted to provide counseling she didn’t need Toms help she can get out there in them streets like he dose! What everyone is overlooking is that what these videos are truly doing is keeping our children off drugs!!

1. Tom has told people that he will give them any proceeds from the videos. He has advertisers... and doesn't pass on the money. 2. He says that he will take down videos upon request. In this video, Maggie and Jeryll ask him (several times) to take down a video... and it's still up. 3. After some of these ladies were murdered, family members asked Tom to take down those videos. Tom hasn't done it.
