Possibly the greatest proper car designer of all time. The BMW E60 is still one of the most current and beautifully proportioned and detailed saloons of all time.

He has got probably the same amount of fans as well as haters, but the one thing is for sure: he 'reshaked' this industry very well ;)

OMG! what a legend, man that was a really great lecture! honestly, I'd rather listen to car designers for inspiration and motivation in my life.

Hi Chris.....I'm Clement, you asked me to send you some of my designs some years back, 2008 to be precise when you were still the head of design, BMW group. I sent them but I was told you left there already. I wish to resend my portfolio in soft copy of PDF on 2 and 3 dimensions along in specification.

If only the bmws (notably 5 [which was a real shame since the e60 M5 could have been the best with its v10], 6 and 7 series) in mid-2000s weren't ugly, significantly more people would appreciate Chris Bangle more. In my humble opinion, it cannot be just for the sake of uniqueness or change or innovation, it has to look good first and foremost and recognizably BMW!!! Those mid-2000 cars, if you take away the kidney grilles, you could have stuck a different badge and not know they're bmw!!!

This guy has no business talking about car design... his designs are dull and uninspiring
