Before Chris Bath became Channel Seven's best newsreader she was a trainee manager at Kmart Merrylands. She left the job when they stopped her from making jokes on the PA system when announcing the red light specials. Chris reflects on her love of the Service Desk microphone.

Tell you what's funny, I work at Kmart Merrylands and I'm constantly on the PA system. There's no aisle numbers first of all and there's no such thing thing as a red light special. 'Though claps for her for trying to make things entertaining..
