They should get fans to work the cameras at concerts because this is the first time someone fucking put the camera on the guitar when it's the solo. Not the drums, not the bass, not the crowd, not the singers fucking shoes, the GUITAR. You see nothing but the guitarist the whole song but noooo not when there's a solo, the only time you REALLY want to pay attention to the guitar. Golly I'm upset.

It was mutual, if I remember correctly but he got a lot of backlash on the internet, and Mustaine fired him saying he was weirded out.

I don't understand why people bag on Broderick all the time. He is an awesome guitarist. Just think, he had to learn all the solos and styles of multiple guitarists. And u know Dave wouldn't allow him to deviate at all. So he learned Poland, Young, Drover, Friedman,. Am I missing anyone? Great player. And he put up with Dave all those years.

Honestly from what I've seen there's almost never any love for Broderick in terms of what he did with Megadeth. However, he fucking killed it in my opinion and he's awesome and super talented. I think people are just spoiled with Friedman and won't accept anyone that isn't him, but at least Kiko hasn't been getting many negative comments

José César Broderick plays it note for note but some times he sounds a little too stiff as if his timing is a little slow or too fast and he doesn't fully pick some notes which makes kind of a half/muted noise, this is also because he scraps other strings that shouldn't be played. Marty plays it very very smooth and accurate as if he practiced the solo for 50 years, also Marty's timing is far better and more consistent. Still I would love to play at either's level.

I can listen to this song over and over again and I always enjoy it and that since the first time I discovered it 12 years ago. It's definitively in my top 5 of all metal songs. This one and also "Painkiller" from Judas Priest. Marty Friedman was THE MAN for creating such good solos, very originals and unique. He must have been very bored with Risk and I totally support the fact that he left the band but he was the only one for the solos... until Broderick.

Erm, Marty Friedman was the reason why Risk exists. Marty wanted to play more melodic, slower songs, so Dave, wanting to keep band harmony wrote stuff that Marty was happy playing. Marty left the band because Dave wanted to go back to playing heavier, more lead guitar driven songs.

Risk and Megadeth's venture in more commercial music is not entirely Marty's fault. Although he is very melodic player and appreciated pop songs. His thinking at the time was "I wanted to be extreme; make the heavy stuff unbelievably heavy and the light stuff totally pop." It is easy to blame Marty, seeing as he went to Japan afterwards, but Mustaine gets these ideas every so often, that he can blow up on the mainstream, 'Super Collider'.

Broderick is a great musician and I enjoyed his playing in Megadeth. I think he gets bashed because he doesn’t necessarily fit in with the Megadeth crew, much the way Robert Trujillo doesn’t fit in with Metallica. Has nothing to do with their playing abilities, as both are stellar musicians.
