That 0-7 if they are within 3 points in the final 3 minutes. That sounds like the key stat said in this video. That means the Thunder are 7-2 in non-close games. Expanding on what Gottlieb said- Thunder lost 15 games in 15-16 when the Thunder had a lead in the 4th quarter and won 55 games in total instead of potentially 70. They bounced back in the playoffs. The Thunder were also dead last in passing in 15-16 as well as this season so far.

I really like the idea of Melo coming off the bench but worse case can't they just manage the mins so that he starts but ends up leading the 2nd unit? Melo could take like every shot with the 2nd unit and the Thunder would live with it. It's only Nov so I'm pretty sure they'll figure something out but if PG leaves to the Lakers it's gonna be a bad look.

Lazarus I agree that Westbrook needs to be an alpha. As long as he knows that this isn’t the same team from last year then they will be good. PG can’t be the second scorer because he expends so much on defense. Plus he’s not clutch at all. At the end of the game, the ball should be in Westbrook or Melo’s hands.
