It’s not the lack of a job that is annoying at this point. But the fact that the Sonichu comic, Chris’s claim to fame is still very rarely being worked on. For any artist there are points where time off from working a job and dedicating time to their art is necessary. But Chris doesn’t bother to further his claim to fame regardless of how crap it is. He just shamelessly begs for money and wastes it and continues to believe that he is famous from Sonichu (despite the fact he never worked on it) but is so self entitled that Chris is too lazy to work on or to keep up his production of his business. If he was just dedicated to the garbage he produced no matter how terrible it is, he would have look just a little bit respectable, but no. Chris just believes it’s ok to whine and beg for money without giving anything in return.
@anxietyfox4322 Жыл бұрын
Even more annoying is how all of their moneymaking schemes are so dumb and lazy. Chris could be making their own actual crayola model magic figurines and drawing commissions for actual money, but even that's too much work so instead he buys amiibos and "customizes" them by glueing on parts from other amiibos. It's not only less original than actual handmade products, but they have no profit margin. Even an idiot like Chris should realize that childrens modeling clay is cheap so the production cost of one figurine would be counted in pennies and could be sold for anything from 50 to 200 bucks, netting them a nice profit. Assuming they'd take the time to make them look nice, of course. But no, because that would require effort and Chris hates effort. Don't even get me started on how the last real issue of Sonichu was started over a decade ago and took him 8 years to finish. Fuck, Chris could have sold t-shirts that require him to do nothing but upload and image to the store to be printed. Actually monetized their youtube presence. Instead they're selling ancient stamps that nobody following him wants, broken and filthy old toys, and even when somebody pays him for a commission or a video greeting Chris can't be arsed to deliver. Chris just wants people to send them free money without giving anything in return, and e-begging is the next best thing because it just requires him to make one minute long video with their phone. There, I made a tiktok video begging for money, hail me as a great artist and pay for my mortgage. All of their money problems would be so much lesser if they just stopped throwing all of their cash on plastic toys and actually worked on their claim to fame for once.@@whoknowswhocares885

Wow, ok, Barb hovering in the doorway hit me like a ton of bricks; my Grandma does EXACTLY this. She started showing signs of dementia about 10-15 years ago, and the unblinking, dead eyed stare right at you is one of her hallmarks. She just turned 87 and can no longer walk on her own, but will still stare at you from the couch. I watched her go from an active, kind, humorous woman to a vegetable that cannot do anything, cannot form a sentence, and forgot all of us ages ago. God, typing this only makes my blood boil and become more furious for what Chris did to Barb. My Grandma hasn't spoken a coherent word in years, thinks her dead parents are on their way every day to take her home, and that she has school with the nuns soon. She can't take medications properly and sucks on them thinking they're hard candies, and has to be hand fed like a toddler because she doesn't know how a fork or straw works anymore. She's dead weight when my family tries to pick her up into a wheelchair to go to the bathroom or bedroom because her brain can't properly communicate to her limbs what they need to do. I cannot even fathom how terrified and confused my Grandma would be if a twisted person like Chris assaulted her. Literally no clue what's going on, and not understanding why she's in pain later. Barb might be younger than my Grandma, but seeing that dead stare and the approximate timeline of this doc and current events, she's either on her way or already is like my Grandma. I'm not a Christorian and my only knowledge of Chris and the Chandlers comes from this doc. I don't know their current state but I am continuing with this series, so I guess that means I'll know soon. I just had to stop and write this when I saw the eerily familiar behavior of Barb. EDIT: Thank you so much to everyone who commented on this, I wasn't expecting it at all and I appreciate it very much! I wrote this initial comment 6 months ago. It's with a heavy heart that I say my Grandma passed away a month ago, peacefully in her sleep. Two of my aunts were with her when it happened. One of them has lived with my Grandma for almost 30 years, and they both said they could tell she was about to go in the week prior. I am the only grandchild on that side of my family so we're all pretty close and tight-knit; definitely a blow to us, but we all agreed that it's for the best and she's in a much better place now.

Barb kicked off this latest mental decline by enabling the arrest incident, blowing her late husbands savings on a shit lawyer, and then expecting her autistic child to take on the weight of adulthood despite failing at even the minimum expectations placed on a child. Chris’ half brother did what any healthy person would do in that situation. Get the fuck out however way possible. Even without the trolls, Chris was doomed to fail from the start.

Cole is one of very few smart people in this whole saga. Barb and Chris are so fucking toxic that there's no saving them and the best option is to run far away and cut off almost all contact. It's no surprise to me that he's the only family member to have had a seemingly successful and happy life. Barb and Chris are both just horrible people, the only difference is that Barb is now a barely lucid old lady so you kinda feel bad for her

everyone always clowns on chris for not getting a job but she gets that hefty tugboat payout every month because even gov officials can recognise she isnt capable of working only for bob and barb to leave absolutely no future plan for paying the mortgage and just putting it all on chris's totally inept shoulders. giving these enormous adult responsibilities to someone who just doesn't understand the magnitude is pretty shoddy parenting I'm finding this saga pretty hard to get through lol. she has the mental age and values of a child and only feels any sort of happiness by buying mf action figures so wasting tons of money on action figures is not really her most surprising or terrible behaviour

The lawyer did his job well, he got them off double vehicular assault and assault on a police officer with barely any punishment. Granted, Mike Snyder didn't press charges, and it was a damn stupid move to hire an expensive celebrity lawyer for a clear cut case, where a public defender would've been able to do basically the same, but it was Chandlers'choice to both committ the crime and then blow all the money. Also, if Barb was willing to just throw all the money away just like that, and keeping in mind her and her retard son's other financial decisions, I am damn sure they would've bought jewelry and an expensive car/rare breed pet that they wouldn't take care of. And yes, Chris was, indeed, doomed from the start. Trolls haven't learned about him until he was in his 20s, and he was already an entitled manchild by then, being an overall nuisance for everyone around. He wasn't dangerous per se, just extremely annoying and creepy. I am sure there are thousands of people, just like that, being a bother for their local communities worldwide. World has all kinds.

They have a literal addiction and need professional help :( I have known so many people like them and used to be one lowkey. Whatever money they get all they want to do is spend it on whatever will give them that dopamine rush and don't realize how much they fucked up until the reality of paying bills comes in. My ex from 6 years ago is still homeless to this day because whenever he gets money from working or charity he spends it on some kind of video game or console because he has a serious gaming addiction. Christine reminds me a lot of him and the only reason she isn't homeless like him is cuz of her parents
