Gotten banned from every possible place in public. And has now even betrayed those who supported him for years after his house fire. Worse of all, torwards the end of it all there was actually a girl who genuinely liked Chris. The Suitress was open to giving Chris literally everything he had spent years searching for. And yet Chris turned her away at every possibility. Instead choosing to defile his own mother rather than being with the girl he spent all those years searching for. It's poetic just where this story turned. And while the story is far from over, this turn of events feels like the proper conclusion to everything that has come before it.

It's like pets are a commodity for these sorts of people. Something to play with and look at when bored and nothing else. Objects, not living creatures who need to be cared for. I can't imagine getting a pet just for the sake of getting a pet if I can't care for it, that's why I still haven't adopted a cat or small dog even though I'm lonely and need a companion after moving out, I don't have the money to care for all their needs and with my anxiety, I don't know that I would be able to walk a dog enough (I live in an apartment so need walks for toilet breaks as well as exercise and enrichment). And with a dog, even though I live 900km away from my family, my childhood dog is still alive and well at 14.5 years and I feel like I'd just be replacing her if I got another dog because I can't see her often. She's still my dog and my best friend.
