Almost certainly lying but Chris does look like someone who either currently is or recently was heavily medicated. If Chris was being annoying in jail, there is a good chance they prescribed some stronger psychiatric drugs than would be normal on the outside. They are often understaffed while handling people with a variety of mental problems all at the same time. In terms of prison mental health-care, if Chris is Jesus, that's probably fine if that makes it easier for the guards.

What almost certainly happened was: chris deliberately made things as difficult as possible for everyone involved in order to try and frustrate their attempts at dealing with his case in a suitable way. Remember how after about a year he wanted out no strings attached and when that didn't happen he did something (probably threw the tantrum to end all tantrums) which got him sent to the psych ward, then when he was there he caused even more trouble and they had to forcibly restrain him at least once (and probably more times that we don't know of). That's how he always handles situations where the people around him are not only standing in the way of him getting what he wants but are also refusing to even "hear out his side of the story" by saying that they don't care about what he has to say if it doesn't have something to do with the situation directly at hand at the time.

Chris actually is very ableist. Many disabled people have a lot of internalised ableism (I myself have to challenge some of the internalised ableism I have) but I’m often shocked at some of the things Chris says.

Chris is one of those moderately functional autistic people whose parents constantly told him that his disability was actually a "secret superpower" that made him better than all the "meanies who just don't understand you", and he took those lies to heart so hard that they embedded themselves into his heart like a bullet. Personally I'm of the opinion that he was either misdiagnosed with hfa or his parents went doctor shopping until they found some quack who would tell them what they wanted to hear so long as they provided him with the customary backhander in a brown envelope.

@@Hammerhead547 I do think Chris’ parents were the main cause of Chris’ attitudes around autism and disability. I don’t know how much Chris engages with other autistic people. I get the impression the parents didn’t want Chris to be around autistic children/people and also that Chris probably thinks Chris is above other autistic people. Likely because of what you mentioned with the ‘super powers’ and coddling their big baby. That may sound harsh but Chris does behave like a toddler very often. Even in this even though it’s not as big a tantrum as many of the other tantrums Chris has had Chris is still pretty much pouting about being blocked on Twitter by people.

@@Undeniably_Asher Chris sees anyone with a disability that isn't him as basically being (and I apologize for using this term) subhuman. He thinks that people with actual HFA are "faking it" because they're so much smarter/more capable than he is and actually lead successful lives despite their disabilities while he wallows in his like a pig in mud. It's actually kind of funny if you think about it because back when chris was diagnosed all one needed to be considered "high functioning" (ie: not intellectually disabled) was an IQ of 83 or higher and being able to perform basic physical tasks like feeding/dressing yourself, eating and using the toilet, so he could've scored an 85 on an iq test and that's all that was needed to say he was "high functioning".

@@Hammerhead547 I do think Chris lumps people into Chris’ ideas of what he thinks they are in just about any group or classification Chris makes: who he says Autistic with that gross inflection that makes me feel like Chris is basically saying re***d, the jerk ops, the haters an trolls, women, men, and for a very long time LGBT+ people which I think is still implied sometimes even if it’s not as outright hateful as it used to be. Personally I don’t use functioning labels or levels as autism has fluctuations in capacity and support needs but I do get what you’re saying and I also don’t care if other use functioning labels or levels. I believe Chris’ functioning level was lower and support needs were higher than Bob and Barb wanted to admit and I think they drilled the HF label into Chris because it separated his from the ‘severe autistics’ (which is gross). I do also think trying a school for children with additional needs may have been beneficial but I’ve also heard some things about very poorly run higher support schools so maybe not, we’ll never know because of Bob and Barb’s attitudes. It’s also so odd that Chris hates people how use the term Asperger’s because that’s what is thought of as HF autism to so many and Chris harps on about the HF but seems to hate aspies.

For those diagnosed with Aspergers (even since the DSMV because some professionals hold onto the term too) it’s understandable they may not know and for those outside the autistic community it is easy to understand why they don’t know. I have seen (online and in person) a lot of people want to hold onto ‘Aspie’ and a lot of people want any callback to Asperger done with so it can be really divisive.
