It's amazing what this group of young musicians would soon come to be.

everyone is so young and baby-faced here. so precious. Cornell is anti-social as ever. but Jeff and Stoney are so cute.
@SunShine-kd6td3 жыл бұрын
Chris isn't anti-social. He's talking with Ian Astbury. The camera was focused on Gossard.

Stone was quite the social butterfly! He's so composed now. It's really nice to see him flirting with Cornell.

He definitely is. If you didn't know better, you wouldn't think it was the same guy in Pearl Jam today. He almost looks shy in videos of the past few years 😳.

Very strange, Andrew was normally always the center of the group with his magnetic personality and sense of humor. This was not long before his death. RIP ANDREW PATRICK WOOD.

Probably struggling with being sober. On a smaller level I'm the loud outgoing one of my group but when I'm in my first 90 days of sobriety I crawl into a shell. Maybe not tho just my two cents

I'd say thats probably a solid assessment spoken from experience. That or you're just totally full o shit. jj.

My generation was 90s and I love all the grunge bands. I get a kick out of people who seperate this from the 80s hair metal when the bands themselves were fans. Makes me like them even more

Cornell & Silver both appear to be sofa talking up Astbury (by that point a major label rockstar) quite seriously in this footage, they looked very much a scene driving duo back then (as well as a couple) & surely both played major roles for taking what opportunities they could get their hands on for projecting SG and the Seattle music scene out of North West. Without the likes of them and key others like Pavitt, Poneman Endino, Curtis etc then that scene could never have become what it did.

Hard to tell with so much crosstalk, but, if this is from early 1990, the MLB show at Green River Community College referenced by Everman was supposed to be on the Friday of the week Andy died, and supported by the Hungry Crocodiles.

I thought he o.d. while Xana, his girlfriend was at work and she was like 15 minutes late getting off to find him out cold but had she been there 15 minutes earlier she could have saved him. I thought this was one of the reasons Chris Cornell didn't like her. I gather they'd agreed to keep an eye on him as he was his roommate at the time.
@AnonyMiss_2 жыл бұрын
@@lauramalizia9636 Chris and Andy weren't roommates anymore at thr time of his death. As for Xana, she's a pathological liar who has changed her story at least 4 times over the years. Now she's running a con on GoFundMe. Once & always trash

@Fakename70 There's a photo --- very iconic and rarely seen publicly --- taken backstage at a 1989 or 1990 Cult show in Seattle of Andy, dressed in white, standing between Cornell and Astbury. That's where these clips are most likely from, at least partly. The bits where you see Cornell, Gilmore, Gossard and Ament where they're in an empty arena talking about Dave Holland, among other things, is probably from that show.

At approx 3:25 you can hear a woman talk about how she has to go to school "in about 7hrs". She states how she's going to culinary school and also working full time on top of school. The voice sounds a lot like Andrew Wood's fiancé Xana La Fuente. Can anyone confirm this?

Hey.. I was only in 7th grade and 12 years old in 1989-1990... But was looking for "other different music" because at the time I was actually into M.C. Hammer and our teacher told us it was devil's music.. I think it's funny now that I'm almost 42 because switching from rap to rock, then grunge was equivalent to hey this hamburger is bad for me so I I'll just stick to ordering french fries.. but can you please bake them?😂😂🤣(seeing 20/20 hindsight I can't believe was nearly 30 years ago)...
