I honestly believe his magic is why I'm still alive today. I'm saddened that I couldn't somehow have met befriended and done the same for him. Now I know why my father cried when John Lennon was murdered. I woke up that morning to the news of Chris' death and sobbed like a baby. I can remember really clearly, when this album was released. I bought it on the recommendation of a music magazine. Guitar world i think. I'd never heard them before. I was decorating my old house and not really paying attention. Then his voice hit me. I cant describe what it felt like. I downed tools and listened to that album all the way through, lost for words. As good as the songs are, Chris' voice was so much the driving force for me. I was lucky to see them a few times and to this day, superunkown is still my favourite album. We miss you Chris. There'll never be another like you.

Compassion and the ability to feel, then express the suffering all round us in such beautiful lyrical and musical ways was one of his incredible gifts. Unfortunately, unlike selfish egotistical and manipulative types who suck the life from those around them, Chris felt the pain of humanity acutely, especially children and all of mother earths innocent life. I think he imparted this empathic perception of the human condition in the form true melodic and lyrical beauty for as long as he could manage until he finally could go no further. We were blessed to be able to be alive at the same time as him and appreciate his artistic gifts and abilities
