Thanks for this Jordan. As a teenager of the 90s Cornell was one of a couple musical "fathers" that helped guide me thru the everyday sludge and even still today. Sad isn't nearly a strong enough word to describe this void.

I’m glad that this hand surgery went well as far as recovering goes. I’ve had my share of Dr disappointments myself. Glad your friend was there to support you and be by your side. Bless you! Let's just pray the man was gifted in the surgery. I've been treated this way. Took an hour & half for a twenty minute procedure. The whole hospital knew there was a screw-up happening. All this under local,the intern saving me telling him I needed more freezing. After no pain meds, no help off the table, no wheelchair.....I lost my job. & punch-line....I didn't need it.....my sister's doctor wanted her to have a biopsy to identify which form of muscular dystrophy we had ( before easy DNA testing). The dear sister never said thanks. I was invisible for a week. ..not even a cup of tea. I have a five inch scar instead of 1". The moral--- never enter hospital without a lion. huggs,silky 40 yrs later the scar tissue acts up ,maybe this rant will put it to rest,thanks for listening.

Glad it all went ok and that you got it all sorted in the end . I had similar the other day they said my pain killers were not in I said I'm out I need them within ten mins they'd turned up . So our docs are same over here . Such a lovely homage to Chris Cornell I wasn't a huge fan of his music but what a sad demise 😢. Beautiful grave and flowers well rest easy and hope you heal quickly and don't have too much pain .

Ever since the beginning of you telling us about your appointments and all the appointments leading up to your surgery, I cannot believe the lack of attention, treatment and consideration that was given to you during this whole thing. I just cannot wrap my head around it! I have been working in the healthcare industry for over 30 years and was completely appalled at the way you have been treated from day one. When I tried to kill myself I was prescribed Ativan and I was on a ventilator for a week! I’m so glad I lived a I tell people all the time suicide is permanent solution for a temporary problem!

From personal experience & what I have seen with others any drugs for anxiety or depression can be very dangerous and can alter ones thinking in a bad way. They need to be only taken with some serious thought and arm yourself with knowledge about these medications. Please think twice before using them. Thanks Jordan for sharing this.

As a person who has battled depression and severe anxiety and I myself am on Ativan. Amongst other things I can say it's def not just the pills. Despite what you may know about someone when you are in a seriously dark period like having a panic attack any person of strong mind could end up ending their life it could be just in that moment And I'd be very surprised if the toxicology report doesn't show something else more than Ativan

So sorry that happened it shouldn't have. Holiday or not someone needs to be available. But If there isn't call the ER close to you hopefully a big one or the hospital you had the surgery at, ask for the OR and they will answer your questions. There are idiots in every field sad to say.

talented man Jordan, hard to say what demons he may have been dealing with - i've always been on a fence when it comes to suicide - very hard for me to justify the selfishness behind it and the hurt that it leaves to others - yet, in some instances i can almost understand the out that some people feel the need to take in life - my sympathies go out to the family members he left behind, and, most likely, the many unanswered questions they'll forever ask themselves about why he made that choice

I'm glad you got your 'scripts!! I'll explain "WHY" pharmacy's don't want to fill out of area scripts......the reason is because "frequent fliers" (people who visit various ERs to get prescription drugs for psychosomatic diseases) will take (prescriptions) 'scripts to various pharmacy's to get filled, and so thereby getting several various pharmacy's to fill the same types of medications........that's why the American Pharmasutical Associations, legislation and the American Medical Associations are taking a proactive approach to erradicate the misuse of prescriptions. I hope I have shed some light on the topic. what a beautiful homage to the artist. your a gentle soul! no, keep the dressing on until you see the Dr when they check your stitches......you can always call " ask a Nurse" where's your area phone number. plus, somewhere in your paperwork there will be a phone number for you to call....the benedine solution they washed/swabbed your surgical area with isn't a bad thing, it's actually a good thing to not wash off. but do not mess with your bandages! you should have been told or somewhere written on your paperwork there will be a follow-up appointment. try not to move your fingers too much on that hand........ I love Jah so much! he's just like my Taco-dude!!!!
