Chris is awesome.....I was broke and homeless up in Seattle bout a year before nevermind Soundgarden was playing rckandy Chris saw me and recognized me from other shows so he came to check on me...without making me feel less than he gave me a one nightgig as a roadie...I made 140 bucks...free catered food...got to see the show...but mostly he gave me pride I took a opportunity and never looked back never another night on a street hungry lonely ..I have an amazing wife four beautiful kids and I thank Chris everyday...and I pass on what I can to others ...please bless as you've been blessed

Agreed, his self titled Audioslave album carried me thru my early recovery. His words in exploder saved my life when at a point that drugs and alcohol had me ready to take my life. Those words were"was a daughter of a man that took his life to young swore she'd never do the same and did just what he'd done" Got sober March 7, 2008. Up here with my daughter in Ashville NC. About three months ago she got hit on her bike by an SUV running a red light. She got two titanium rods in right leg, a fractured pelvis and two broken vertebrae, a fractured rib and a punctured lung. When I pulled up yesterday she walked down a flight of stairs on her own to meet me. We almost lost her that nite. It was touch and go for awhile. The person I was and who I am today are two different people that fought many years to get away from the things that were destroying me.. If anyone is having a hard time, you are worth seeking help. I was thinking about all the way up here yesterday,"what if I had taken my life that day and hadn't got my shit together and wasn't here for her all these years and especially now when she really needed her dad. Man, I hope he gets a lot of credit in his account where he went for all of us and he can see us, who's words his music saved.
