Daughtry could sing anything and make it sound amazing
@hurlbag559 Жыл бұрын
I've heard a lot of sleep token covers but Daughtry's one has to be my favourite. Instead of trying to just recreate it 1:1 he really paints a different new vibe over the original which is really refreshing to hear.

He really keeps that haunting tone that Sleep Token has while adding his own spin to it. He did the same thing with a Pokerface cover like a decade ago. Another killer cover from him.

Chris you neeeeed to look at the Song Bloodsport (from the Room below) from Sleep Token. its the perfekt live version of the song with his special vibrato, screaming and a lot of emotions. all striped down just vocals and piano. And you can see his mouth for better analysis =)

I can't say as I listen to his music, but vocally I think he's done the best job of covering ST that I've heard. It's a bit haunting, and the way he sang that made me FEEL something.

Well this is just downright beautiful. Deathcore made me forget about my love for acoustic rock type stuff

I've always been a mild fan of Daughtry since his radio days but I forgot just HOW familiar I am with his sound lol. This really almost sounds like a daughtry original.

The difference between Cover a song and make a Re version the song on your style, great work from Chris, i would love more full songs of ST

Love these videos! I've been a huge Daughtry fan since elementary school and was dreaming of singing like him someday. I can't do it yet but your content helps a lot!

I don't remember ever seeing it but I wanted to recommend a vocal lesson for you to teach your students if you haven't already I found it already on my own but I really like you as a teacher and want to hear you discuss it. It is called vocal CRY 😭 I recently uncovered this and what a difference it has made in my shouting it truly is melodic now just like the inspirations I take from.

Chris have you listened to the band Ghost yet? Ghost is actually how I found Sleep Token! A good starter song for Ghost would be "Call Me Little Sunshine" or "Cirice". II'd also love to hear your thoughts on Paris Paloma's "Labour." And tank you for your thoughtful videos so far! I feel like I've learned a lot watching your videos even though I've only been subscribed for two weeks now.

Love how passionate you are about singing and the voice Chris! If you've ever heard of the band Currents, they've been releasing a lot of good songs recently, and the vocalist has an amazing scream/harsh vocal. Would love to see you react! Remember Me, is a song you might want to give a listen to. Cheers.

I like your videos Chris but I feel they are over-reacted upon. Too overly reacted for my taste. No need to pause that much man, you have great musical content. I just wanted to point that out. No offense intended whatsoever
