I know I'm late to this. I'm just taking a YooToob search for reactions to this track on a whim at the mo, & thankfully came across this. Great to hear someone with a depth of understanding speak on tracks I love. The depth of catalogue you're drawing from is impressive - to hear an American drop that Prodigy/PWEI track from "Jilted" was for sure an eyebrow raise o_O ....& *quite* pertinent - kudos. :)

Yassss! Sleep Token are the best band I have ever come across and the recent album is definitely my AOTY! You should go down the rabbit hole now. They’re genre bending and use elements of everything from rock, metal, RnB, trap, hip hop, gospel, and more. Even if you don’t like one song don’t write them off as every song is different and as you can see from this one they switch up completely through the songs, also don’t be thrown off by some of them being 7-8 minutes long either as it goes by far too quickly. You should start at the beginning and work your way through as they tell a story and have call backs to a lot of them. The band are anonymous, I and others know who they are but won’t reveal out of respect to the band and fans but the singer goes by the moniker Vessel, drummer, who is a beast is II, bassist III and guitarist IV. From London UK. As far as their discography goes they brought out two EPs called One and Two, then 2 singles called Jaws and The Way That You Were, then the three albums Sundowning, The Place Will Become Your Tomb, then TMBTE (Take Me Back To Eden). They’ve done five covers that I’m aware of. One being Hey Ya by OutKast, I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, Is It Really You? By Loathe and When The Party’s Over by Billie Eilish, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. His Vocal range I believe is B ♭2 to F#5 and he has a wonderful chest voice, head voice and scream. I have never hyper fixated on a band like I have with these! Loved the react and Will subscribe and hopefully see many more. 🖤 The trilogy = Seduction. Destruction. Liberation.

Cant properly enjoy other music. Any other is washed. Lol. Seen them twice already and Vessel doing all this beautiful singing live as well. Wow! If You like a drums in this song try Jaws. You will loved it.

Really enjoyed your reaction. Would love to see you check out more of Sleep Token on here as their sound is so diverse. Also, being that you know music so well, I'd love to see you react to some Mutemath if you're not familiar with them. A very talanted and eclectic band from New Orleans that flew under the radar from the mid 2000's until the late 2010's. The singer Paul Meany is now a producer working with pretty big name bands like Twenty One Pilots and Pierce The Veil.

Greetings. I noticed you have a Cavo album in the background there. I was wondering if you've managed to hear a few of their recent cover tunes that have been released on KZbin. They did a great Crowded House cover. They covered Synchronicity II and it's awesome! They covered Drive by the Cars, and I'm sorry, but it's Cavo's song now -- not the Cars song. What influences did you hear? That guitar growl has been hard for me to place. Another track has a guitar riff that reminds me of Lobo for some reason. I’m not into modern music enough to know if these sounds that I remember from the 70s are as unique as I think they are

I hear more European than American influences here, but I guess it depends on what part you focus on. Ambient metal seems to be mostly an European genre - see Alcest from France or Ghost Brigade from Finland. Both are/were excellent bands. Ghost Brigade was kind of black metal guys gone ambient, and Alcest turned that way later in their career.
